Overview
Moving from PipeRun CRM de Vendas to Mailchimp is a platform-type migration: you are moving from a sales CRM built around deal pipelines and activities to an email marketing platform built around audiences and campaigns. PipeRun has no publicly documented REST API, so we work from coordinated CSV exports of Contacts and Companies generated from the web interface. We prepend unique ID prefixes to every exported title before Mailchimp import to prevent PipeRun's title-based deduplication from creating duplicate records. Contacts map to Mailchimp subscribers with standard fields (email, first name, last name, phone) and custom fields become Mailchimp merge tags mapped by type. Companies from PipeRun become audience tags or a custom audience segment rather than a native Mailchimp object, since Mailchimp's CRM capabilities are contact-centric, not account-centric. Deals, Funnels, Proposals, and Automations have no Mailchimp equivalent and do not migrate. We deliver a written inventory of PipeRun automations for your team to rebuild in Mailchimp's customer journey builder.
Every standard and custom field arrives verified.
AI proposes the map; you confirm before any record moves.
Parent–child, lookups, and ownership stay linked.
Calls, emails, meetings — with original timestamps.
Documents, uploads, and inline notes move with the record.

Object mapping
Each row shows how a PipeRun CRM de Vendas object lands in Mailchimp, including any object-level transformations, lookup resolution, or schema-design dependencies.
Typical mapping — final map is confirmed during the sample migration step.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Contact (Contato)
Mailchimp
Subscriber in Audience
1:1PipeRun Contacts map directly to Mailchimp subscribers in a target Audience. The subscriber's email address is the dedupe key. Standard fields (first name, last name, phone, city, state) map to Mailchimp's FNAME, LNAME, PHONE, and address merge fields. We extract Contact records from PipeRun's CSV export and pre-validate email format before import to avoid Mailchimp's rejection of malformed addresses. PipeRun's title-based deduplication risk is mitigated by prepending a unique PipeRun record ID to the contact name before import.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Company (Empresa/Organização)
Mailchimp
Audience Tags or Merge Fields
many:1PipeRun Companies are a separate object with no native Mailchimp equivalent. We attach company data to the subscriber record in two ways: (1) company name maps to a COMPANY merge tag on each subscriber linked to that company, and (2) the company is also added as an Audience Tag so that segment-building by company name is possible in Mailchimp. If PipeRun contacts share multiple companies (via a many-to-one relationship), we add the primary company as a merge tag and remaining associations as tags.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Deal (Negócio)
Mailchimp
None
1:1PipeRun Deals have no Mailchimp equivalent. Mailchimp does not support deal pipelines, opportunity values, or stage tracking. We do not migrate Deals as records. We do extract the deal value and stage from PipeRun CSV exports and append them as merge tags (DEAL_VALUE, DEAL_STAGE) on the associated Contact subscriber so that historical deal context is available for segmentation and reporting in Mailchimp.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Funnel (Funil)
Mailchimp
Audience or Audience Tag
lossyPipeRun Funnels represent distinct sales processes or pipeline views. Mailchimp has no funnel object. For migrations with multiple PipeRun Funnels, we map each Funnel to a separate Mailchimp Audience so that funnel-specific contact segments remain isolated. Alternatively, we use Audience Tags per Funnel within a single Audience if the customer prefers unified audience management. The chosen strategy is confirmed during scoping based on the number of active Funnels and the customer's campaign segmentation needs.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Activity (Atividade)
Mailchimp
None
1:1PipeRun Activities (calls, emails, meetings, notes) are logged against Contacts but have no Mailchimp equivalent. Mailchimp tracks opens, clicks, and campaign-level engagement, not individual sales activity. We do not migrate Activities as records. We flag that PipeRun call and meeting notes that contain email addresses or phone numbers may warrant re-contact in Mailchimp campaigns and note this in the scope document.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Custom Field (Campo personalizado)
Mailchimp
Merge Tag
lossyPipeRun custom fields on Contacts map to Mailchimp merge tags of the corresponding type. Text fields map to text merge tags, date fields map to date merge tags, dropdowns map to radio or dropdown merge tags, and currency fields map to number merge tags. Mailchimp's merge tag naming conventions (uppercase, alphanumeric) require us to transform PipeRun field names during the export-to-import pass. We configure merge tags in the target Audience before any subscriber import begins.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Tag/Label (Etiqueta)
Mailchimp
Audience Tag
1:1PipeRun tags applied to Deals and Contacts map to Mailchimp Audience Tags. Tags are preserved exactly as exported, with no transformation. Multiple tags per subscriber are supported natively by Mailchimp. If the same tag applies to an entire PipeRun Company, we apply it to all Contacts under that Company in Mailchimp during the import pass.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas
Automation (Ação automática)
Mailchimp
None
1:1PipeRun automation rules (ações automáticas) are platform-internal triggers and cannot be exported in a portable format. We do not migrate them. We document every active PipeRun automation with its trigger object, condition logic, and CRM actions so that the customer's team can rebuild equivalent flows in Mailchimp Customer Journeys post-migration.

Gotchas + challenges
Platform-specific issues from each side, plus the pair-specific challenges that don't show up on either platform's page on its own.
PipeRun CRM de Vendas gotchas
No publicly documented REST API for programmatic export
CSV import uses title-based deduplication, not record IDs
Multiple Funnels require explicit stage mapping to avoid schema loss
WhatsApp message content is not exportable from PipeRun MAX
Pricing tiers are not publicly tied to feature gates or user limits
Mailchimp gotchas
Contact count includes unsubscribed and non-subscribed records
Automation workflows cannot be exported
Account suspensions trigger silently during migration
Template HTML is Mailchimp-specific and may not render in other platforms
E-commerce data requires active store connection
Pair-specific challenges
Migration approach
Export coordination and customer participation
We schedule a joint export session with the customer's PipeRun admin to generate CSV exports for all required objects: Contacts (Contatos), Companies (Empresas/Organizações), Deals (Negócios), Activities (Atividades), and Proposals (Propostas). Each object requires a separate export. We provide the customer with a pre-migration checklist specifying which columns to include, which filters to apply (active records only vs. all records), and the export format. The customer uploads the exported files to a secure staging environment we provide. This step requires one to two business days of the customer's active participation.
Data audit and merge tag design
We audit every exported CSV file for record counts, null field frequency, duplicate email addresses, and custom field coverage. We identify all PipeRun custom fields on Contacts and map each to a Mailchimp merge tag, transforming names to meet Mailchimp's uppercase-alphanumeric convention. We design the audience structure: whether multiple PipeRun Funnels map to separate Mailchimp Audiences or to Audience Tags within a single Audience. We produce a data audit report and a merge tag mapping table for the customer to review and approve before any Mailchimp write operations begin.
Mailchimp audience and merge tag configuration
We configure the target Mailchimp Audience: creating all required merge tags (FNAME, LNAME, PHONE, COMPANY, and any custom merge fields identified in the audit), setting field types (text, date, number, dropdown), and configuring address fields if the PipeRun export includes physical address data. If multiple Audiences are required for Funnel isolation, we create them with naming that reflects the corresponding PipeRun Funnel. We verify that the Mailchimp API is accessible with the provided API key before proceeding to import.
Subscriber import with deduplication
We import Contacts from the PipeRun CSV into the configured Mailchimp Audience. Before import, we prepend the PipeRun record ID to the contact name field to eliminate PipeRun's title-based dedup risk. Email address is used as the Mailchimp dedupe key. Company associations are written as both a COMPANY merge tag on each contact and as an Audience Tag on the subscriber record. After import, we reconcile the subscriber count against the exported Contact count and investigate any discrepancies before marking the phase complete.
Deal context and tag pass
We extract deal values and current funnel stages from the PipeRun Deals CSV and append them as merge tags (DEAL_VALUE, DEAL_STAGE, DEAL_FUNNEL) on the corresponding subscriber records using Mailchimp's batch API. We apply PipeRun Company tags to all associated Contact subscribers in the same pass. We generate a per-subscriber activity map that ties each Mailchimp subscriber to the PipeRun company and deal records they were linked to, for the customer's reference during post-migration reconciliation.
Validation, handoff, and automation inventory
We run a final reconciliation comparing the Mailchimp subscriber count and field completeness against the source CSV totals. We deliver the automation inventory document listing every PipeRun ação automática with its trigger, condition, and action summary, mapped to a recommended Mailchimp Customer Journey equivalent. We conduct a live walkthrough with the customer's team to validate the audience, confirm tag coverage, and demonstrate how to rebuild the first automation in Mailchimp Customer Journeys. We do not provide ongoing post-migration support or workflow rebuild as standard scope.
