Overview
AscendixRE is a Salesforce-based commercial real estate CRM that stores contacts, companies, deals, properties, listings, leases, availabilities, capital sources, and inquiries in a rich object graph built on Salesforce's standard and custom objects. Mailchimp is a dedicated email marketing platform organized around Audiences containing Members, with campaigns, templates, automations, and reporting as separate constructs. The two platforms share one data type — contact records — but diverge sharply everywhere else. FlitStack AI migrates AscendixRE's Contact and Company records into Mailchimp audiences via the Mailchimp API, preserving first name, last name, email address, phone, title, company, and address fields with direct API mapping. AscendixRE's deal associations, property interests, lease statuses, and capital-source relationships have no native Mailchimp equivalents; we surface these as Mailchimp tags and custom merge fields so your segmentation can reference them post-migration. We do not migrate AscendixRE workflows, sequences, or automation logic — those must be rebuilt in Mailchimp's automation builder. Email templates from AscendixRE Composer can be exported as HTML and re-imported into Mailchimp as custom templates. A 24–48 hour delta-pickup window captures any contact changes made in AscendixRE during cutover before you decommission the source system.
Every standard and custom field arrives verified.
AI proposes the map; you confirm before any record moves.
Parent–child, lookups, and ownership stay linked.
Calls, emails, meetings — with original timestamps.
Documents, uploads, and inline notes move with the record.

Object mapping
Each row shows how a AscendixRE object lands in Mailchimp, including any object-level transformations, lookup resolution, or schema-design dependencies.
Typical mapping — final map is confirmed during the sample migration step.
AscendixRE
Contact (AscendixRE / Salesforce Contact)
Mailchimp
Member (Mailchimp Audience Member)
1:1Direct map via Mailchimp API. Every AscendixRE contact with an email address becomes a Mailchimp audience member. Contacts without email addresses are flagged as not migratable — Mailchimp requires an email address for subscriber records. Primary company association maps to the COMPANY merge field.
AscendixRE
Company (AscendixRE / Salesforce Account)
Mailchimp
Merge Field + Tags (Mailchimp Audience)
1:1AscendixRE company name maps to the built-in COMPANY merge field in Mailchimp. Company domain, industry, employee count, and annual revenue are encoded as custom merge fields (ACRE_INDUSTRY, ACRE_EMPLOYEES, ACRE_REVENUE). Company hierarchies (parent/child) are flattened — only the direct parent company name is preserved in the COMPANY field.
AscendixRE
Deal (AscendixRE / Salesforce Opportunity)
Mailchimp
Tags (Mailchimp Audience Tags)
1:1AscendixRE deals have no Mailchimp equivalent. We encode each deal as a Mailchimp tag using the pattern 'Deal:[DealName]' and 'Stage:[StageName]'. Deal amount, close date, and owner are stored as custom merge fields (DEAL_AMOUNT, DEAL_CLOSE_DATE, DEAL_OWNER_EMAIL). This preserves deal context for segmentation without creating records in a non-existent object.
AscendixRE
Property (AscendixRE custom object)
Mailchimp
Tags (Mailchimp Audience Tags)
1:1AscendixRE property records contain property type, status, address, square footage, and price — none of which have a Mailchimp equivalent object. We encode each property as Mailchimp tags using the pattern 'PropertyType:[PropertyType]' and 'PropertyStatus:[ListingOrLease]'. Property address, square footage, and price are stored as custom merge fields (ACRE_PROPERTY_ADDRESS, ACRE_PROPERTY_SQFT, ACRE_PROPERTY_PRICE). A contact interested in multiple properties receives multiple tags.
AscendixRE
Listing (AscendixRE custom object)
Mailchimp
Tags (Mailchimp Audience Tags)
1:1AscendixRE listings are encoded as tags using the pattern 'Listing:[ListingName]'. Listing status (Active, Under Contract, Leased) maps to a tag value. Listing price and property type are stored as merge fields. Contacts associated with a listing receive the corresponding tags for segmentation.
AscendixRE
Lease (AscendixRE custom object)
Mailchimp
Tags (Mailchimp Audience Tags)
1:1AscendixRE lease records have no Mailchimp equivalent. We encode lease status as tags: 'LeaseStatus:Active', 'LeaseStatus:Expiring', 'LeaseStatus:Expired'. Lease expiration date is stored as a custom merge field (LEASE_EXPIRES). Contacts linked to expiring leases can be segmented in Mailchimp using the LEASE_EXPIRES merge field.
AscendixRE
Availability (AscendixRE custom object)
Mailchimp
Tags (Mailchimp Audience Tags)
1:1AscendixRE availabilities represent prospective tenant or buyer interests in specific properties — availability name, type, and related contacts have no native Mailchimp representation. We encode availabilities as tags using the pattern 'Availability:[AvailabilityName]'. Availability type (For Sale, For Lease, Sublease) maps to a tag value. Contacts related to availabilities receive the corresponding tags for segmentation.
AscendixRE
Capital Source (AscendixRE custom object)
Mailchimp
Merge Field (Mailchimp Audience)
1:1AscendixRE capital source records (investors, lenders, equity partners) are stored as a custom merge field CAPSOURCE_TYPE with the source type as the value. Capital source contact details are mapped as standard contact fields since the capital source itself is a related object, not a direct contact field.
AscendixRE
Inquiry (AscendixRE custom object)
Mailchimp
Tags + Merge Field (Mailchimp Audience)
1:1AscendixRE inquiry records capture how prospects found your brokerage and what properties they inquired about — inquiry source, date, type, and property interest require encoding to Mailchimp's schema. We encode inquiry records as the tag 'InquirySource:[Source]' plus INQUIRY_DATE and INQUIRY_TYPE custom merge fields. Inquiry property interest is encoded as a Property-related tag. This preserves inquiry attribution for marketing follow-up sequences.
AscendixRE
AscendixRE Workflow / Sequence
Mailchimp
Mailchimp Customer Journey (requires manual rebuild)
1:1AscendixRE automated workflows (follow-up tasks, lease-expiration alerts, commission notifications) have no Mailchimp equivalent. We export AscendixRE workflow definitions as a PDF specification document that your team can use to rebuild equivalent Customer Journeys in Mailchimp. This is a manual step — no automated workflow migration is possible.
AscendixRE
AscendixRE Composer Templates
Mailchimp
Mailchimp Custom Templates
1:1AscendixRE Composer templates export as HTML files. We convert these to Mailchimp-compatible HTML templates and import them as custom templates in your Mailchimp account. Dynamic merge fields used in Composer require manual re-mapping to Mailchimp merge tag syntax (|*FNAME*|, |*EMAIL*|, etc.).
AscendixRE
AscendixRE Reports and Dashboards
Mailchimp
Mailchimp Reports (no equivalent for pipeline analytics)
1:1AscendixRE Salesforce-native reports (pipeline analytics, commission dashboards, lease-expiration reports) have no Mailchimp equivalent. Campaign-level reports (opens, clicks, bounces, revenue) migrate as a separate reporting layer. CRE-specific analytics must remain in Salesforce or a BI tool — they cannot be reconstructed in Mailchimp.
AscendixRE
AscendixRE Custom Objects (general)
Mailchimp
Merge Fields + Tags (Mailchimp Audience)
1:1Any AscendixRE custom object beyond the standard CRE suite (up to 20 total) is mapped to a combination of Mailchimp custom merge fields and tags. Each custom object field requires a decision: direct merge field (for text/date/number data) or tag-based encoding (for categorical data). We document each custom object's field mapping before migration runs.
AscendixRE
Activity History (Calls, Emails, Meetings, Notes)
Mailchimp
Mailchimp Activity Log (opens, clicks, unsubscribes)
1:1AscendixRE activity records (logged calls, emails, meetings, notes) are Salesforce Task and Event records with timestamps and owner assignments. Mailchimp tracks only email engagement activities (opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes) — there is no equivalent for call logs, meeting records, or general notes. Activity history is preserved as a CSV export from AscendixRE, not as a live data migration into Mailchimp.

Mailchimp list membership lives outside Salesforce
Custom object schema varies by org and requires pre-migration audit
Bulk export cap of 50,000 records per admin-defined action
Mailchimp gotchas
Contact count includes unsubscribed and non-subscribed records
Automation workflows cannot be exported
Account suspensions trigger silently during migration
Template HTML is Mailchimp-specific and may not render in other platforms
E-commerce data requires active store connection

Migration approach
Audit AscendixRE contacts and map object dependencies
Before migration begins, FlitStack AI runs a discovery scan of your AscendixRE instance via the Salesforce API. We identify every Contact record with an email address, flagging records without email (not migratable to Mailchimp), duplicates, and contacts with missing critical fields. We also map each contact's related records — which deals, properties, listings, leases, availabilities, capital sources, and inquiries they are associated with — so we can generate the corresponding Mailchimp tags and merge field values during migration. This audit produces a pre-migration data map that your team reviews before any data moves.
Create Mailchimp audience and custom merge fields
FlitStack AI provisions your target Mailchimp audience and creates all required custom merge fields (ACRE_INDUSTRY, ACRE_EMPLOYEES, ACRE_REVENUE, ACRE_OWNER_EMAIL, ACRE_CREATE_DATE, ACRE_SOURCE_ID, DEAL_AMOUNT, DEAL_CLOSE_DATE, DEAL_OWNER_EMAIL, ACRE_PROPERTY_ADDRESS, ACRE_PROPERTY_SQFT, LEASE_EXPIRES, CAPSOURCE_TYPE, INQUIRY_DATE, and secondary company tags) before importing contacts. This ensures the Mailchimp schema is ready to receive all mapped data on the first import run. Merge field types (text, date, number) are set to match the source data types to avoid import truncation or formatting issues.
Import contacts with tag encoding for deal and property associations
FlitStack AI imports contacts into Mailchimp via the Mailchimp Members API in batches, applying the tag encoding for each contact's deal associations, property interests, listing statuses, lease statuses, availability preferences, capital source type, and inquiry attribution. Batch sizing is calibrated to Mailchimp's API rate limits (1,000 members per batch, 10 concurrent batches) to avoid throttling. Each contact receives its original Salesforce ID as ACRE_SOURCE_ID for traceability. Contacts without email addresses are excluded and listed in a skipped-records report for manual handling.
Run sample migration with field-level verification
A representative slice of 100–500 contacts migrates first — spanning different contact types, deal stages, and property associations. We generate a field-level diff comparing each source contact's merge field values against the corresponding Mailchimp member record. You verify tag accuracy (correct deal names, property types, lease statuses), merge field completeness, and owner email resolution before the full run commits. Any mapping adjustments are made before proceeding.
Execute full migration with delta-pickup window
The full contact migration runs in batches against your Mailchimp audience. A delta-pickup window of 24–48 hours runs concurrently, capturing any contacts modified or created in AscendixRE during the migration window. FlitStack AI logs every operation to an audit trail — member created, tags applied, merge fields populated. If reconciliation fails (count mismatch, field validation error), one-click rollback removes the migrated members and tags so the migration can be re-run cleanly. After rollback window closes, you can decommission the AscendixRE Mailchimp integration and redirect email sends to the new Mailchimp audience.
Export AscendixRE Composer templates for Mailchimp re-import
AscendixRE Composer HTML templates are exported and converted to Mailchimp-compatible format. We extract template HTML, remove Composer-specific syntax, and re-encode dynamic merge fields (|*PROPERTY_ADDRESS*|, |*LISTING_NAME*|, etc.) to Mailchimp merge tag syntax (|*ACRE_PROPERTY_ADDRESS*|, |*TAG:Listing*|). Each template's dynamic content is mapped to ensure accurate translation. We deliver a template import package with a field-mapping guide so your Mailchimp admin can upload templates and verify merge field bindings before launching campaigns.
