Overview

What this migration involves

Moving from Zenscale to Infor Cloudsuite is a structural ERP migration that crosses from a small Indian SME manufacturing platform to a multi-tenant enterprise cloud suite hosted on AWS. Zenscale organizes data across five integrated modules—Material Management, Production Planning, Financial Accounting, Payroll, and Task Management—with no publicly documented API, meaning all source extraction relies on manual CSV exports coordinated with Zenscale's implementation team. Infor CloudSuite's multi-tenant architecture requires importing master data in strict dependency sequence (for example, Unit of Measure Codes must exist before Unit of Measure Conversions can load) and does not permit direct database access, so we stage and transform data through Infor's Migration Utility before cutover. We preserve GST compliance registers against Form GSTR-2A, map multi-level BOMs and routing steps to Infor's production item structure, and flag any custom Zenscale fields or approval workflows that cannot be extracted for rebuild documentation. Workflows, custom code modifications, and report definitions do not migrate as code; we deliver a written inventory of these for the customer's admin to rebuild post-migration.

Why teams make this switch

Two sides of the same decision

Leaving

Zenscale

What's pushing teams away

  • Limited scalability beyond SME size means growing manufacturers hit feature ceilings when order volume, multi-plant operations, or compliance requirements increase.
  • Lack of publicly documented API means integration with modern e-commerce, third-party logistics, or BI tools requires custom development Zenscale does not support out of the box.
  • India-only support and regional focus creates challenges for manufacturers with international suppliers, multi-currency transactions, or export compliance needs.
  • Performance and uptime concerns on the cloud infrastructure frustrate users in periods of high transaction volume during peak manufacturing seasons.
  • Customization to specific manufacturing workflows often requires vendor-managed changes that are slow to implement and expensive to maintain.

Choosing

Infor CloudSuite Corporate logo

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

What's pulling them in

  • Infor CloudSuite is industry-specific out of the box — manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and food & beverage editions ship with preconfigured workflows that reduce the need for extensive customization and accelerate time to value for operations-heavy organizations.
  • The platform's deep integration with Excel for financial reporting is frequently cited as a key productivity feature, allowing finance teams to pull data directly and make changes without leaving familiar tooling.
  • AWS-hosted multi-tenant deployment eliminates data center management for IT teams, and Infor OS provides a unified integration layer (ION) that connects the CloudSuite to third-party applications without point-to-point middleware.
  • Organizations with multi-site or multi-country operations choose Infor for its multicurrency, multilanguage, and local regulatory compliance capabilities across 175+ countries, which simplifies consolidation for global CFOs.
  • The two-tier ERP strategy positioning lets corporate headquarters run CloudSuite while subsidiaries run lighter instances, which appeals to complex organizational structures that want standardization without full replacement.

Object mapping

How Zenscale objects map to Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Each row shows how a Zenscale object lands in Infor CloudSuite Corporate, including any object-level transformations, lookup resolution, or schema-design dependencies.

Typical mapping — final map is confirmed during the sample migration step.

Zenscale

Chart of Accounts

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Chart of Accounts (COA)

1:1
Mapping required

Zenscale's hierarchical financial chart of accounts with cost-center tagging maps directly to Infor CloudSuite's Account Master (COA) structure. Account codes, names, and cost-center assignments transfer as-is. Indian statutory account groups (GST input, GST output, TDS payable, PF Payable, ESI Payable) map to corresponding liability and expense account categories in Infor's COA. We extract account balances as of the cutover date and post an opening trial balance entry in Infor's Financial Management module.

Zenscale

Customer and Supplier Ledgers

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Business Partner (Customer and Supplier)

1:1
Fully supported

Zenscale maintains separate customer and supplier ledgers with GST registration details (GSTIN), payment terms, credit limits, and tax registration numbers. These map to Infor CloudSuite's Business Partner master as distinct BP types (Customer and Supplier). GSTIN validation format transfers to Infor's tax registration fields. Payment terms and credit limits map to Infor's payment term codes and credit limit fields respectively.

Zenscale

Inventory Item Master

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Item Master

1:1
Fully supported

Zenscale item masters include FG (finished goods), RM (raw materials), and semi-finished variants with BOM linkages, unit of measure, stock thresholds, and valuation methods (FIFO, Standard). We extract item-level stock quantities as of cutover date and map them to Infor's Item Master with item type, BOM reference, and warehouse assignments. Infor's warehouse and stocking location structure is configured before inventory quantity migration to ensure bin-level assignments are valid.

Zenscale

Multi-level BOM and Production Orders

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

BOM Master and Production Order

1:1
Fully supported

Zenscale's multi-level BOMs with component quantities, consumption rates, and routing steps are deeply embedded in the production module with version histories. We export the full production order history including closed orders to preserve BOM revision trails. Each BOM level maps to Infor's BOM Repository with parent item and child component structure. Routing steps map to Infor's work-center operations with sequence, run time, setup time, and labor type. Infor's BOM Dependency Routing is configured to reflect the production flow before production orders are created.

Zenscale

Open Purchase and Sales Orders

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Purchase Order and Sales Order

1:1
Mapping required

Zenscale open PO and SO records with line-item pricing, delivery schedules, and GST tax components map to Infor CloudSuite's PO and SO documents. We extract pending order balances as of cutover date, flag any partially invoiced lines, and map Zenscale's order status to Infor's Open, Confirmed, or In-Process status. GST line-item amounts transfer to Infor's tax distribution structure. Lines with delivery schedules map to Infor's delivery schedule rows on the order.

Zenscale

Payroll Employees and Salary Components

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Employee Master and Payroll Component

1:1
Mapping required

Zenscale stores employee records with salary components (basic, allowances, deductions), attendance, and statutory contribution data (PF, ESI, TDS for Indian compliance). We extract employee masters, current salary structures, and statutory registration numbers and map them to Infor CloudSuite's Employee Master with India-specific payroll components. PF account numbers, ESI registration numbers, and TDS section assignments transfer to Infor's statutory deduction configuration.

Zenscale

GST Tax Registers

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Tax Register and GSTR Summary

1:1
Mapping required

Indian GST compliance data—GSTR-1, GSTR-3B summaries, and input tax credit registers—are stored in Zenscale against transactions. We extract tax summary records and line-item GST amounts, flagging any mismatch between Zenscale's GSTR-2A and the transaction-level input tax credit claims. GST registers are migrated as read-only audit records in Infor's Financial Management module to maintain the 8-year Indian statutory retention requirement. We do not attempt to post these as live transactions in Infor—cutover begins after all open GST periods in Zenscale are finalized.

Zenscale

Quality Inspection Records

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Quality Management Inspection

1:1
Mapping required

Zenscale's quality management module stores inspection results linked to purchase orders and production lots. We extract QC pass/fail records, inspector names, rejection reasons, and lot-level inspection data and map them to Infor CloudSuite's Quality Management inspection records. Lot numbers from Zenscale's production module link to Infor's lot-controlled inventory items so that inspection history traces through the lot genealogy.

Zenscale

Documents and Attachments

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Document Management (IDM)

1:1
Not supported

Zenscale stores attached documents—invoices, GRNs, quality certificates—in a proprietary file store without a publicly documented attachment export API. We migrate document metadata and filenames only, mapping them to Infor's Document Management (IDM) or ION Desk file store as a reference index. The actual binary files cannot be extracted without Zenscale's direct involvement. We document every document category and recommend rebuilding the attachment library post-migration using Infor IDM.

Zenscale

Custom Fields and Workflow Rules

maps to

Infor CloudSuite Corporate

Custom Fields and Workflow Rules

1:1
Not supported

Zenscale implementations commonly include custom fields on forms and approval workflows configured during onboarding. These are stored in Zenscale's configuration database and have no documented export path. We document the existence, purpose, and field names of every custom field and active workflow during discovery and recommend rebuilding them in Infor CloudSuite post-migration. The time and cost to reverse-engineer Zenscale's internal configuration is not justified within a standard migration scope.

Pair-specific challenges

  • Zenscale has no public API; all extraction is manual

Zenscale does not publish REST API documentation for third-party or customer-initiated data extraction. Every migration engagement with Zenscale as the source requires coordinating manual CSV exports from the Zenscale UI, direct database access (if Zenscale grants it), or export assistance from Zenscale's implementation team. We build the migration plan around whatever extraction methods Zenscale will support during scoping, and we flag any data that cannot be exported from Zenscale before the cutover date so that the customer can make an informed decision about partial versus complete migration.

  • Infor CloudSuite enforces strict data dependency sequencing

Infor's Migration Utility requires importing data in a specific sequence because of foreign-key dependencies. For example, Unit of Measure Codes must be defined before Unit of Measure Conversion data can load, and Business Partners must exist before Purchase Orders that reference them can be imported. We sequence the migration in Infor's dependency order (COA first, then Business Partners, then Items, then BOMs, then transactions, then payroll) and flag any prerequisite data that Zenscale does not provide so that the customer can manually enter it between import steps. Skipping this sequencing results in import failures that corrupt the migration database.

  • Indian GST data is legally sensitive and requires cutover alignment

Indian GST regulations require businesses to retain GSTR records for up to 8 years and file corrections on past returns. We extract GST summary and line-item data from Zenscale, validate it against Form GSTR-2A before extraction, and migrate it as audit records in Infor's Financial Management module rather than as live transactions. Cutover must align with the end of the GST period so that no open GST-period transactions span both systems. Incomplete GST records at cutover create retrospective liability under Indian tax law.

  • Multi-level BOMs and production order history require full export

Zenscale's multi-level BOMs and routing steps are not standalone records—they are linked to production orders with version histories. Extracting only the current BOM definitions loses the revision trail that manufacturers use for costing accuracy and regulatory compliance. We request a full production order export including closed orders from Zenscale to preserve BOM version lineage, and we map each BOM version to Infor's BOM revision history structure. This export is significantly larger than the current BOM snapshot and must be anticipated during scoping.

  • Custom Zenscale fields and workflows have no documented export path

Zenscale supports custom fields and workflow configurations that are set up during implementation and stored in Zenscale's proprietary configuration database. These are not accessible through any public API or export mechanism. We document every custom field name, data type, and the form it appears on during discovery, and we document every active workflow with its trigger conditions, approvers, and actions. The customer's admin rebuilds these in Infor CloudSuite post-migration using Infor's configuration tools. This rebuild work is outside standard migration scope.

Migration approach

Six steps for a successful Zenscale to Infor CloudSuite Corporate data migration

  1. Scoping and extraction feasibility assessment

We audit the Zenscale environment across all five modules (Material Management, Production Planning, Financial Accounting, Payroll, Task Management) to inventory record counts, identify custom fields and workflows, and confirm what extraction methods Zenscale will support. This step is critical because Zenscale's lack of a public API means extraction feasibility is a gating constraint on the migration plan. We produce a written extraction feasibility report listing every object, the export method (UI CSV, direct DB, or manual), and any objects that Zenscale cannot export.

  2. Infor CloudSuite target schema design

We design the destination Infor CloudSuite schema in a Sandbox environment using Infor's Migration Utility and DataMap spreadsheets. This includes configuring the Chart of Accounts structure, Business Partner types and tax registration fields, Item Master with BOM type assignments, work-center routing definitions, payroll component structures for Indian statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS), and GST tax configuration. The Infor target schema must be validated in Sandbox before any production data is loaded because migration sequencing depends on the schema structure.

  3. Source data extraction and staging

We coordinate with Zenscale's implementation team to extract data using the confirmed export methods. All Zenscale exports are staged in a controlled environment with record counts, field counts, and data-type validation before transformation begins. We extract COA, Business Partners, Item Masters, BOMs, Production Orders, open POs and SOs, employee records, payroll components, GST registers, and QC inspection records. Documents and attachments are staged as a filename-only index for IDM rebuild post-migration.

  4. Data transformation and Infor migration database load

We transform staged Zenscale data into Infor CloudSuite's target schema and load it into the Infor Migration Database using Infor's documented import sequences. The sequence is: COA first, then UOM codes, then Business Partners, then Item Masters with BOMs, then work-center routing, then open orders, then payroll, then GST registers, then QC records. Each sequence emits a Data Assessment Report. We review the report with the customer's Infor administrator, correct any transformation issues, and repeat until the assessment report shows acceptable data quality before proceeding to the next sequence.

  5. Sandbox validation and customer sign-off

We run a full migration into the Infor Sandbox using production-like data volumes. The customer's operations and finance leads reconcile record counts, spot-check 25-50 records against Zenscale source data, and validate GST register totals against Zenscale's GSTR reports. Any mapping corrections, missing prerequisite data, or sequencing adjustments are resolved in Sandbox before the production migration plan is finalized. Customer sign-off on the Sandbox validation report is the gate for production cutover.

  6. Production cutover and cutover validation

We freeze Zenscale writes at the agreed cutover date and extract a final delta of any records modified since the initial export. This delta is staged, transformed, and loaded into Infor's production migration database. After all sequences complete, we copy the validated migration database tables into the Infor production database and run a final reconciliation report against Zenscale's trial balance, open order register, and inventory stock report. We deliver the custom field and workflow inventory document to the customer's admin team for rebuild in Infor. We support a two-week hypercare window for reconciliation issues and do not rebuild workflows or custom fields as part of the migration scope.

Zenscale

Source

Strengths

  • Modular architecture lets manufacturers adopt Payroll, Material, Production, or Financial modules independently with shared data.
  • Built-in GST compliance and Indian statutory reporting (GSTR formats, PF, ESI, TDS) pre-configured for domestic legal requirements.
  • Production planning with multi-level BOMs, work-center routing, and job work tracking targets discrete manufacturing workflows.
  • Android mobile apps (Zen POS, Zen Purchase, Zen Sales) extend core ERP functions to shop floor and field teams without desktop dependency.
  • Indian SME pricing and local support team make implementation accessible for businesses without large IT budgets.

Weaknesses

  • No publicly documented API means automated data export requires Zenscale's direct involvement or manual CSV extraction.
  • Small company footprint (23 LinkedIn employees, Ludhiana-based) raises concerns about long-term product support and development velocity.
  • Limited international capability—multi-currency, multi-country consolidation, and global compliance are not platform strengths.
  • Export-heavy manufacturers report performance slowdowns during high-volume transaction periods on the shared cloud infrastructure.
  • Vendor lock-in through proprietary configuration and custom fields makes switching ERP costly in both time and re-implementation effort.

Strengths

  • Industry-specific preconfiguration across manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, and food & beverage reduces post-implementation customization effort.
  • Deep Excel integration for financial reporting allows finance teams to export, manipulate, and push data back without leaving a familiar environment.
  • Multi-tenant AWS deployment with Infor OS provides a unified integration layer that simplifies connecting to third-party applications and legacy systems.
  • Strong multicurrency, multilanguage, and regulatory localization capabilities support organizations operating across 175+ countries from a single platform.
  • Modular architecture allows organizations to deploy core financials, supply chain, or manufacturing modules independently and expand over time.

Weaknesses

  • Opaque pricing model with no public per-user rates and deployments commonly ranging from $500K to $5M creates significant budget uncertainty for prospective buyers.
  • Implementation complexity and timeline (commonly 2+ years for large deployments) leads to extended periods of reduced productivity and elevated project risk.
  • Steep learning curve with hidden options and a lack of public setup guidance makes self-service onboarding difficult compared to competitors with richer documentation communities.
  • Manufacturing module functionality is perceived by some users as outdated relative to modern ERP platforms, with reported bug issues that require workarounds.
  • Tight coupling between modules and environment-specific configurations makes migration to non-Infor systems labor-intensive, increasing switching costs.

Most migrations land between 12 and 18 weeks for accounts with under 15,000 items, 2,000 account codes, and no multi-level BOM hierarchies across multiple production sites. Migrations with full BOM revision histories, payroll with Indian statutory components (PF, ESI, TDS), GST register continuity across multiple GST periods, and multi-site production orders move to 18-24 weeks because of the extraction coordination, BOM staging complexity, and Infor sequencing requirements. Infor CloudSuite implementations themselves typically span 9-18 months for the full ERP deployment; the data migration phase is a subset of that timeline.
