Overview
Clarify CRM's autonomous AI architecture self-populates contact and company details without manual data entry, but that same autonomy introduces incorrect field values that teams must correct manually. When moving to Pipedrive, we audit every AI-enriched record before export, flagging fields that may contain hallucinated company data so the customer can choose to preserve or strip them. Clarify lacks a separate Lead object and has no native custom objects beyond custom fields on standard records, which simplifies migration scope compared to more complex CRM platforms. We map Clarify's Companies to Pipedrive Organizations, Contacts to People, Deals to Deals, and pipeline stages to Pipedrive stages. AI-generated meeting summaries stored as linked notes convert to Pipedrive note attachments. Pipedrive's per-seat pricing ($14-$99/user/month) replaces Clarify's credit-based model, giving teams a predictable cost structure tied to headcount rather than AI feature consumption. We do not migrate Clarify's autonomous workflows, AI agent configurations, or opinionated pipeline automation logic; we deliver a written map of these for the customer's admin to rebuild in Pipedrive's Automation engine.
Every standard and custom field arrives verified.
AI proposes the map; you confirm before any record moves.
Parent–child, lookups, and ownership stay linked.
Calls, emails, meetings — with original timestamps.
Documents, uploads, and inline notes move with the record.

Object mapping
Each row shows how a Clarify CRM object lands in Pipedrive, including any object-level transformations, lookup resolution, or schema-design dependencies.
Typical mapping — final map is confirmed during the sample migration step.
Clarify CRM
Contact
Pipedrive
Person
1:1Clarify Contact records map to Pipedrive Person (people) records. Standard fields (name, email, phone, job title) transfer directly. Clarify's autonomous AI context fields (auto-enriched company details, conversation-derived properties) are flagged during scoping — we present a list to the customer and they decide whether to include or exclude each AI-generated property before import. The AI-flagged fields are noted in the migration manifest so the customer understands what came from autonomous population versus manual entry. Clarify has no separate Lead object; all prospects exist as Contacts with lifecycle-stage properties, which map as-is to Pipedrive People.
Clarify CRM
Company
Pipedrive
Organization
1:1Clarify Company records map to Pipedrive Organization records. The domain-based enrichment that Clarify's AI populates is flagged similarly to Contact AI fields — we present the field list and the customer chooses which autonomous properties to retain. Website, industry, employee count, and address fields migrate directly where present. Clarify's company domain becomes the Organization's Website field and serves as a dedupe key during import.
Clarify CRM
Deal
Pipedrive
Deal
1:1Clarify Deal records map to Pipedrive Deals with value, stage, and close date preserved. Clarify's autonomous agents update deal fields automatically — those updated values transfer but are flagged in the migration manifest so the customer can verify accuracy. Pipedrive's Deal record type does not distinguish between product lines; if Clarify uses deal-level custom fields for product categorization, those migrate as Pipedrive custom fields on the Deal object.
Clarify CRM
Pipeline Stage
Pipedrive
Pipeline Stage
1:1Clarify pipeline stages map directly to Pipedrive pipeline stages in sequence order. We capture the full stage name, position, and probability (if set in Clarify) and create matching Pipedrive stages before Deal import. If Clarify uses multiple pipelines, we create corresponding Pipedrive pipelines and map Deals by pipeline assignment. Stage probabilities transfer as decimal values and round to Pipedrive's integer-percentage format.

Activity: Call
Pipedrive
Activity (Task, subtype Call)
1:1Clarify call records map to Pipedrive Activity records with the Call subtype flag set. Duration, call outcome, and any disposition data transfer to custom activity fields in Pipedrive. The activity timestamp preserves the original Clarify date so the timeline in Pipedrive reflects the correct sequence.
Clarify CRM
Activity: Email
Pipedrive
Activity (Note-type or linked email)
1:1Clarify email engagements map to Pipedrive Activities. The email content attaches as a note body within the activity record, and the activity timestamp preserves the original send date. Pipedrive's activity timeline displays these in chronological order alongside other activity types.
Clarify CRM
Activity: Meeting
Pipedrive
Activity (Note-type)
1:1Clarify meeting activities map to Pipedrive Activity records. Meeting title, date, and attendee information transfer. Pipedrive does not have a native meeting object separate from activities, so meeting records land as activity entries with the meeting title and date preserved.
Clarify CRM
AI-Generated Meeting Summary
Pipedrive
Note (attachment to Person or Deal)
lossyClarify's AI-generated meeting summaries are stored as enriched note content attached to activity records, not as first-class structured fields. We export these summaries and attach them as notes to the corresponding Person or Deal in Pipedrive. The summary content transfers as plain text or rich text depending on the format exported from Clarify. The customer should review summaries for accuracy since Clarify's autonomous AI may have introduced hallucinations into the summary text.
Clarify CRM
Tag
Pipedrive
Label
1:1Clarify tag-based labeling on records migrates to Pipedrive Labels, which apply to both People and Organizations. Tag assignments per record transfer as Pipedrive Label selections on the corresponding record. Clarify's multi-tag-per-record model maps directly to Pipedrive's label system.
Clarify CRM
Custom Field (standard objects)
Pipedrive
Custom Field (People, Organizations, Deals)
lossyClarify custom fields on Contacts, Companies, and Deals map to Pipedrive custom fields on the equivalent objects. We validate field types during scoping: multi-select fields in Clarify map to Pipedrive multi-select fields, date fields map to date fields, currency fields map to currency fields. Pipedrive supports custom fields from the Lite plan onward. Any Clarify custom field type that Pipedrive does not support (e.g., complex relational fields) is flagged during scoping for the customer to decide whether to flatten or omit.

Gotchas + challenges
Platform-specific issues from each side, plus the pair-specific challenges that don't show up on either platform's page on its own.
Clarify CRM gotchas
Credit-based billing requires usage audit before migration
15 req/s API rate limit applies universally
AI summaries export as linked notes, not structured records
Pipedrive gotchas
Custom field hash keys differ per account
Export access gated by visibility groups
Token-based API rate limits since December 2024
Sequences and Automations not exposed via REST API
Cost escalates via workflow caps and add-ons

Migration approach
Discovery and AI-field audit
We audit the source Clarify account across record counts (Contacts, Companies, Deals, Activity records), pipeline stage definitions, custom field definitions and types, tag usage, and credit consumption by AI feature. The AI-field audit is the critical output of this phase: we identify every contact and company field that was modified by Clarify's autonomous AI agents and present the full list to the customer. They decide which fields to migrate, which to strip, and which to prefix as needing review in Pipedrive. We also confirm the lifecycle-stage property values in Clarify to determine the Lead-versus-People mapping strategy in Pipedrive.
Schema design and Pipedrive custom field provisioning
We design the destination Pipedrive schema before any data moves. This includes creating Pipedrive custom fields for any Clarify custom fields that have no direct Pipedrive equivalent, configuring pipeline stages with the correct names and probabilities matched from Clarify, setting up Labels to match Clarify's tag taxonomy, and defining the Lead-versus-Person mapping rule based on Clarify's lifecycle-stage property values. Schema is provisioned in a Pipedrive trial or sandbox environment first for validation against a sample dataset before production migration begins.
Sandbox migration and reconciliation
We run a full migration into the customer's Pipedrive sandbox using a representative data sample. The customer's RevOps lead reconciles record counts (People in, Organizations in, Deals in, Activities in), spot-checks 25-50 random records against the Clarify source, and reviews the AI-flagged fields to confirm the inclusion or exclusion decisions. Any field type mismatches (e.g., a Clarify multi-select that Pipedrive does not support as a native type) are resolved here. Sign-off on the sandbox reconciliation gates the production migration start.
Export from Clarify in rate-limited batches
We export data from Clarify's API in rate-limited batches capped at 15 requests per second per Clarify's universal rate limit. Large exports are split across multiple scheduling windows to avoid throttling. The export includes all standard fields, custom fields, tag assignments, deal values and stages, and activity records. AI-generated meeting summaries are exported as linked note content and bundled with the corresponding activity record for attachment during import. We maintain a migration manifest listing every exported field, its source object, and its AI-flag status.
Production import in dependency order
We run production migration into Pipedrive in record-dependency order: Organizations (from Clarify Companies, because People require an Organization lookup), People (with the Lead-versus-Person split applied from Clarify lifecycle stages), Deals (with Organization and Person lookups resolved), and Activities (Tasks, Calls, Meetings with timestamps preserved and AI summaries attached as notes). Each phase emits a row-count reconciliation report before the next phase begins. Custom fields are created in Pipedrive before the phase that requires them.
Cutover, validation, and automation rebuild handoff
We freeze Clarify writes during cutover, run a final delta migration of any records modified during the migration window, then enable Pipedrive as the system of record. We deliver a written inventory of Clarify's autonomous workflow configurations and AI agent settings that the customer must rebuild in Pipedrive's Automation engine. We do not rebuild Clarify's autonomous workflows as Pipedrive automations inside the migration scope; that is a separate engagement or an internal admin task. We support a one-week hypercare window where we resolve any record-count discrepancies or field-mapping issues raised by the customer's team.
