Jobs are the central work-order object in BigChange. We map Jobs to the destination's equivalent (Work Orders, Jobs, or Tasks) preserving status, job type, assigned engineer, scheduled date, and custom properties. Job history including site visits is migrated in date order.

Customers

Fully supported

Customer records in BigChange include company name, address, site associations, and contact rules. We migrate Customers as full records including all site locations linked to the parent account.

Persons

Fully supported

Persons are individual contacts linked to Customers. BigChange supports exporting Persons lists with phone number formatting options. We migrate Persons preserving their association to the parent Customer and all contact details.

Quotes

Mapping required

Quotes in BigChange contain line items, agreed rates, job types, and custom fields. Quote custom fields are documented in the DaaS schema (quote_custom_fields_v1). We map standard quote fields directly; custom quote fields require field-level mapping against the destination schema.

Invoices

Fully supported

Invoices are linked to Jobs and Customers and include line items, rates, and payment status. We extract invoice records with their job association and preserve financial document metadata. Financial document exports are handled via BigChange's dedicated financial export tool.

Worksheets

Mapping required

Worksheets define the step-by-step instructions field engineers follow on site. They can be company-standard or job-specific. Because worksheets are template-driven with customisable fields, we map them as structured text blocks or their destination equivalent, noting any conditional logic that cannot be transferred automatically.

Assets

Fully supported

Assets represent equipment or installations at customer sites. We migrate Asset records including location, type, maintenance history, and linked customer. Asset associations to Jobs are preserved via foreign key mapping.

Vehicles

Fully supported

Hard-wired vehicle tracking is included in the Plus tier. Vehicle records include GPS data, driver assignment, and mileage. We migrate vehicle records and link them to the engineers assigned to them. Live GPS tracking history is subject to DaaS data retention windows.

Custom Fields

Mapping required

BigChange supports custom fields on Quotes (quote_custom_fields_v1). Other objects may have custom properties depending on the customer's configuration. We audit all custom field definitions before migration and map each to a destination custom field or equivalent property. Custom field types and validation rules require explicit review.

Financial Documents

Mapping required

Financial documents (invoices, credit notes, statements) are exported via BigChange's dedicated financial document export tool. We run this export as a separate migration pass and map document IDs to their linked Jobs and Customers in the destination system. Note that financial document generation settings (branding, terms) do not transfer.

Job Schedule and Planner Data

Mapping required

Schedule and planner data includes shift assignments, route planning, and resource allocation. We map schedule slots to the destination's calendar or resource planning module. Recurring schedule templates may require reconstruction in the destination as template objects are not separately exportable.
