In its favor
Why people choose Click
The signal that keeps Click on the shortlist. Sourced from G2, Capterra, and customer scoping calls.
ClickDimensions is chosen by organizations already invested in Microsoft Dynamics 365 who want native marketing automation without a separate platform.
It provides email campaign management, event registration, web tracking, and surveys that extend the Dynamics CRM data model directly.
Customers report that integration with Dynamics is carefully handled and updates between the two systems are generally seamless.
The platform appeals to marketing teams that want to keep all customer engagement data within the Microsoft ecosystem.
ClickDimensions is limited to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, making it difficult to switch to non-Microsoft CRMs without losing marketing activity history.
The platform's interface and feature set lag behind standalone marketing automation tools, prompting teams to move to HubSpot or Marketo.
Support responsiveness and product update cadence have been cited as pain points by mid-market customers.
Custom field usage on the free plan is capped at 60 uses, which frustrates teams that need broader automation without upgrading.

Pricing tiers
Click pricing overview
ClickDimensions publishes pricing on a demo-request basis rather than a public tier list. The Free Forever plan is confirmed and includes the 60-use Custom Field limit. Paid tiers unlock higher API usage, additional marketing features, and enterprise capabilities like advanced segmentation and custom branding. Exact per-seat or per-tier pricing requires direct inquiry.

What gets migrated
Click object support
Object-by-object support for Click migrations. Per-pair details surface during scoping.
Contacts
Fully supportedContacts are stored in the underlying Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, not in ClickDimensions itself. ClickDimensions extends contacts with marketing attributes like consent flags, email engagement scores, and custom field values. We migrate the contact base records from Dynamics and bring along ClickDimensions-specific properties attached to each contact.
Accounts (Companies)
Fully supportedAccounts are stored in Dynamics 365 CRM. ClickDimensions links marketing activity to accounts primarily through the contact-to-account relationship. We preserve account-company records and their association to contacts during migration.
Leads
Fully supportedLeads are standard Dynamics CRM records that can receive ClickDimensions marketing annotations. We migrate leads with their associated ClickDimensions custom field data and lead-scoring attributes.
Email Sends
Mapping requiredClickDimensions tracks email send records as marketing activity attached to CRM contacts. The send date, campaign name, and status are migrated; individual email engagement events (opens, clicks) are mapped to Activities on the contact record in the destination.
Event Registrations
Mapping requiredEvent management entities in ClickDimensions store registrations linked to CRM contacts and accounts. Registration status, session choices, and custom registration fields require field-level mapping to the destination event or CRM object.
Web Tracking Events
Mapping requiredClickDimensions captures web behavioral events tied to known contacts (via email) or anonymous visitors. We map known-contact events to CRM activity records; anonymous visitor data is optionally migrated as notes or custom records depending on destination capability.
Survey Responses
Mapping requiredSurvey responses in ClickDimensions are linked to contacts and include answer data in custom field structures. We extract response records and map survey questions to destination custom fields or a survey-results object.
Custom Fields
Mapping requiredClickDimensions supports custom fields on tasks and other entities via its API. Free Forever plans limit Custom Field writes to 60 uses per workspace; each Set Custom Field Value API call counts as one use. We flag custom field mappings during scoping and handle write limits by batching edits or using the UI for small-volume migrations.
Activities
Fully supportedClickDimensions creates activity records in Dynamics 365 for email engagement, form submissions, and other interactions. These are standard CRM activity objects and migrate cleanly to any Dynamics-based or compatible destination.

How a Click migration works
Four steps, Click-specific
Connect
Click is delivered as a native Dynamics 365 / Power Platform extension; integrations primarily flow through the Dataverse Web API (OAuth 2.0 via Microsoft Entra ID). The vendor itself does not publish a separate standalone REST API portal — apitracker.io and openbankingtracker confirm an 'API' exists for the product but the surface is Dynamics-centric. into Click. Scopes limited to read-only on the data we move.
Map
We translate Click-specific structures (custom fields, objects, value lists) to the destination's model.
Sample
