Overview
Moving from IMPulse ERP to Infor Cloudsuite Industrial is a structural migration that resolves the gap between a mid-market on-premise manufacturing system and a cloud-native ERP with quarterly updates, built-in AI analytics, and a documented migration utility. IMPulse ERP stores operational data across interconnected modules—Items, BOMs, Production Orders, Work Centers, Warehouses, and financial ledgers—without a published REST API, so data export typically requires coordination with the customer's IMPulse administrator to generate standard CSV or XML intermediates. We transcode those intermediates, resolve referential dependencies (Work Centers before Production Orders, Accounts before Transactions), and load through Infor's Migration Utility in the correct sequence. We do not migrate Workflows, automations, or custom code; we deliver a written map of these for the customer's Infor consultant to rebuild. CloudSuite's multi-tenant architecture also limits the on-premise customizations that can be carried forward, which we flag during discovery.
Every standard and custom field arrives verified.
AI proposes the map; you confirm before any record moves.
Parent–child, lookups, and ownership stay linked.
Calls, emails, meetings — with original timestamps.
Documents, uploads, and inline notes move with the record.

Object mapping
Each row shows how a IMPulse ERP object lands in Infor CloudSuite Corporate, including any object-level transformations, lookup resolution, or schema-design dependencies.
Typical mapping — final map is confirmed during the sample migration step.
IMPulse ERP
Work Centers
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Work Center
1:1IMPulse ERP Work Center definitions (capacity, calendars, routing dependencies) map directly to Infor CloudSuite Industrial Work Center. Migration must occur before Production Orders because CloudSuite enforces referential integrity at insert time. We extract Work Centers first, assign Infor-format cost center codes, and validate that routing dependencies resolve in the destination before advancing to production data.
IMPulse ERP
Warehouses
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Warehouse
1:1IMPulse ERP Warehouse definitions, bin structures, and stock-location mappings transfer 1:1 to CloudSuite Warehouse. Bin configurations map to CloudSuite location codes. Stock quantity balances migrate as a separate ledger snapshot after the warehouse structure is committed. We flag any warehouse with incomplete bin definitions and add placeholder locations in the destination before the stock snapshot loads.
IMPulse ERP
Items
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Item
1:1IMPulse ERP Items (finished goods, raw materials, semi-finished stock) map to CloudSuite Item master. Unit-of-measure conversions and cost layers transfer, but non-standard UOM definitions stored in IMPulse ERP custom fields require destination-side field creation before the main Item migration runs. We extract all active Items, transcode from IMPulse's proprietary format to CloudSuite-compatible CSV, and load via the Infor Migration Utility Import Source Tables form.
IMPulse ERP
Bill of Materials
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Bill of Materials
1:1IMPulse ERP BOM structures with version-controlled revisions map to CloudSuite BOM with revision tracking. We extract all active BOM versions, flag any with orphan component links (component Items that do not exist in the destination), and resolve the parent-Item references before loading. BOMs must load after Items to satisfy the component Item lookup. Historical superseded BOMs migrate as read-only versions in CloudSuite.
IMPulse ERP
Production Orders
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Production Order
1:1Open and closed Production Orders from IMPulse ERP carry routing steps, Work Center assignments, and by-product allocations. In-progress orders require coordination with the customer's IMPulse administrator to capture the current state before migration. We separate open from closed orders: open orders migrate as active records requiring referential integrity checks against Work Centers and BOMs; closed historical orders migrate as read-only records in CloudSuite. Production Order number sequences may need remapping if the destination uses a different number format.
IMPulse ERP
Customers
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Customer
1:1IMPulse ERP Customer master records and contact data migrate 1:1 to CloudSuite Customer. We flag duplicate detection across the destination before final insertion using customer name and address matching. Credit limits, payment terms, and tax registration numbers map to CloudSuite-native fields. Contact roles migrate to CloudSuite Contact roles linked to the Customer.
IMPulse ERP
Vendors
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Vendor
1:1IMPulse ERP Vendor master and contact data migrate 1:1 to CloudSuite Vendor. Remit-to addresses and payment terms preserve as native fields. We validate that the destination vendor number sequence does not conflict with existing records and apply the same duplicate-detection matching used for Customer records.
IMPulse ERP
Open AR/AP
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Open AR/AP Ledger
1:1Outstanding invoices and credit memos require careful balance verification. We extract open amounts and aging buckets from IMPulse ERP, transcode to CloudSuite invoice and voucher formats, and validate that total AR/AP matches the trial balance in the destination after loading. Any discrepancies over 0.5 percent trigger a reconciliation hold before proceeding to historical transactions.
IMPulse ERP
Chart of Accounts
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Chart of Accounts
1:1IMPulse ERP Account codes, descriptions, and classification (asset, liability, equity, revenue, expense) map directly to CloudSuite Financials Chart of Accounts. Intercompany and consolidated accounts may require parent-account re-mapping depending on the destination's segment structure. We load the Chart of Accounts before any AR/AP or transaction data to ensure all journal entries reference valid account codes.
IMPulse ERP
Payroll Records
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Payroll
1:1IMPulse ERP HR/Payroll module migration involves effective-dated compensation records, tax withholdings, and accrual balances. We handle Payroll as a separate migration phase with HR-specific validation rules and date-range filtering. Historical payroll archives migrate to CloudSuite Payroll as read-only records; active employee compensation data requires Infor CloudSuite HCM licensing. We flag any payroll records with effective dates after the migration cutoff for the customer's HR team to verify.
IMPulse ERP
Historical Transactions
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Transaction History
1:1Full transaction history is voluminous and edition-gated in CloudSuite. We scope the export based on the destination's import API limits and apply date-range filtering (typically 2-3 fiscal years) agreed upon during scoping. We do not migrate all historical transactions for large organizations; we migrate a configured window and archive the remainder to a data lake or structured export for the customer's analytics team.
IMPulse ERP
Custom Fields
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Custom Fields
lossyIMPulse ERP custom fields on Items, Customers, Vendors, and Production Orders require destination-side schema creation before the main object migration runs. We extract all custom field definitions during discovery, map them to CloudSuite custom field equivalents, and provide a schema deployment sequence. Any custom field with a data type not supported in CloudSuite (for example, IMPulse-specific enumerated types) is flagged for the customer's Infor consultant to resolve.

Pair-specific challenges
Migration approach
Discovery and extraction path assessment
We audit the IMPulse ERP instance across data volumes (Items, BOMs, Production Orders, Customers, Vendors, open AR/AP, Chart of Accounts, Payroll records, historical transactions) and assess the available extraction path for each object. Because IMPulse ERP has no public REST API, this step determines whether file exports via built-in utilities, direct database queries, or a combination is required for each data type. We also identify any custom fields and non-standard UOM definitions. The discovery output is a written extraction plan, dependency graph, and migration sequence draft.
Intermediate format transcoding and schema mapping
We transcode extracted IMPulse ERP data into standard CSV or XML intermediates compatible with Infor CloudSuite Industrial's Migration Utility Import Source Tables form. This includes resolving non-standard delimiters, encoding issues, and missing required fields identified during discovery. We map IMPulse ERP field names to CloudSuite table and column names using Infor's Database Schema Report and DataMap Schema-Properties spreadsheet. Any field with no direct CloudSuite equivalent is flagged for configuration as a custom field, and we provide the schema deployment sequence for the customer's Infor consultant to execute before the relevant migration phase runs.
Migration sequence configuration in Infor Migration Utility
We configure the Infor CloudSuite Migration Utility with the agreed import steps and table mappings. We use the Import Steps form to review preconfigured mappings and add any custom source-to-target mappings for IMPulse ERP tables not in the standard migration set. We generate a Preliminary Data Transfer Data Assessment Report to identify transformation issues before any records are committed. This report is shared with the customer's Infor consultant and department leads for verification. Manual prerequisite data (tax parameters, billing codes, or any required CloudSuite form data not present in IMPulse ERP) is documented for the customer's team to enter before the automated import sequence begins.
Dependency-ordered migration in CloudSuite Sandbox or staging
We execute the migration in dependency order—Work Centers, Warehouses, Items, BOMs, Production Orders, Customers, Vendors, Chart of Accounts, AR/AP ledgers, Payroll, and Historical Transactions—with each phase producing a Data Transfer Log for error review. Open Production Orders are held for a final delta migration during cutover. We run in a CloudSuite staging environment first so that the customer's Infor consultant can reconcile record counts, spot-check 25-50 records per object against the IMPulse ERP source, and approve the sequence before production migration begins.
Production cutover and delta sync
We freeze IMPulse ERP writes during the cutover window, run a final delta migration of any records modified during the staging-to-production gap, then enable Infor CloudSuite as the system of record. We deliver a written inventory of all IMPulse ERP Workflows, automations, and custom code requiring rebuild in CloudSuite (these do not migrate as code under FlitStack AI standard scope). We support a one-week hypercare window to resolve any reconciliation issues. Payroll records with future effective dates are handed off to the customer's HR team for manual verification and entry.
Customization and workflow rebuild handoff
We deliver the custom field schema deployment sequence, theIMPulse ERP automation inventory document, and the Infor OS API Gateway configuration notes for the customer's Infor consultant. We do not rebuild IMPulse ERP customizations as CloudSuite Mongoose solutions or C# assemblies inside the standard migration scope; that is a separate engagement. We do not provide post-migration admin support, training, or workflow rebuild as standard scope.
