In its favor

Why people choose Recooty

The signal that keeps Recooty on the shortlist. Sourced from G2, Capterra, and customer scoping calls.

One-click job distribution to 100+ job boards including LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and Indeed lets small teams publish once and reach broad candidate pools without manual re-entry or spreadsheets.

Free-forever Starter plan lets teams validate the platform's fit for their hiring volume before committing to a paid tier with no credit card required for 15 days.

Visual candidate pipelines give recruiters a single-screen view of all applicants per role with drag-and-drop stage changes and inline comments from hiring managers.

AI Bot Interviewer and AI Salary Estimator tools are bundled into Growth and Business plans at price points competitive with alternatives like AvaHR.

GDPR compliance features including data retention settings, audit trails, and privacy automation are included even on lower-tier plans, reducing compliance overhead for EU-adjacent hiring.

Lower pricing tiers gate bulk resume importing behind paid plans, forcing teams with high application volumes to upgrade before they are ready.

AI credit consumption and application view caps on lower plans create unpredictable costs as hiring scales, with some users reporting confusion about what triggers overages.

Users report dual-platform confusion — Recooty Dashboard (ATS) and Recooty AI Dashboard (AI tools) use separate credentials and interfaces that do not cross-pollinate.

Trustpilot reviews show a 2.2/5 average with complaints about support responsiveness, particularly for users not on Business or Enterprise plans.

Feature parity across tiers is not clearly communicated — bulk CSV/ZIP import, calendar sync depth, and analytics sophistication vary significantly between plans.

Strengths, weaknesses, and where Recooty fits

SWOT — strengths, weaknesses, and use-case fit

Strengths

One-click publishing to 100+ job boards from a single job submission reduces manual multi-posting effort.Free-forever Starter tier with full candidate management provides a genuine low-risk entry point for very small teams.AI Bot Interviewer and AI Salary Estimator tools are included in most paid plans at no additional credit cost.Visual drag-and-drop pipeline management with inline candidate comments keeps hiring teams aligned in one view.GDPR compliance tools including data retention automation and audit logging are included across all paid plans.

Weaknesses

Tiered pricing gates bulk resume import, calendar sync depth, and analytics sophistication behind Business and Enterprise plans.AI credits and application view caps create unpredictable cost increases as hiring volume grows, with opaque overage triggers.Dual-product setup (Recooty Dashboard vs Recooty AI Dashboard) with separate credentials creates user confusion and onboarding friction.Lower-tier plans offer limited customer support — Trustpilot reviews cite support responsiveness as a consistent complaint.Free application credits visibility is reported as poor, with users surprised by what counts toward their plan limits.

Where it works

Small businesses with 1–50 employees that need to publish job listings across 100+ job boards from a single submission without managing multiple accounts.Early-stage teams wanting to evaluate ATS fit using the free-forever Starter plan before committing budget or migrating data.Single-location or small distributed hiring teams that need visual candidate pipelines and interview scheduling without enterprise-grade automation.EU-adjacent small businesses that require GDPR compliance features including data retention, audit logging, and privacy automation without dedicated legal tooling.Small teams wanting bundled AI features (Bot Interviewer, Salary Estimator) included in paid plans without per-credit billing models.

Where it struggles

Growing teams scaling to hundreds of applicants per role, where application view caps and bulk import gating create operational friction and upgrade pressure.Organizations requiring predictable, flat-rate pricing as AI credit consumption and per-application usage tracking introduce billing surprises on lower plans.Teams on Starter or Growth plans needing responsive support, given documented Trustpilot complaints about support responsiveness outside Business and Enterprise tiers.Mid-market organizations with complex approval workflows, multi-stage hiring processes, or Zoho Analytics-style deep reporting requirements that are tier-gated.Teams managing hiring across multiple geographies requiring multilingual support, localized compliance beyond GDPR, or multi-currency salary benchmarking.

Pricing tiers

Recooty pricing overview

Recooty uses a tiered pricing model with feature gating across four plans. The free Starter plan is viable for minimal hiring but restricts bulk importing and board reach. Growth ($79/month) and Business ($149/month) unlock the core ATS capabilities including bulk import, calendar sync, and analytics. Enterprise pricing is custom and adds unlimited job postings with migration assistance and dedicated support. AI credit limits and application view caps on lower plans create variable costs as hiring scales.

What gets migrated

Recooty object support

Object-by-object support for Recooty migrations. Per-pair details surface during scoping.

Jobs (Job Postings)

Fully supported

Jobs are the primary container object in Recooty. Each job holds a title, description, location, department, employment type, and publishing status. We migrate Jobs as-is, including metadata about which boards they were posted to. Job status (draft, published, closed) is preserved and set correctly at the destination.

Candidates / Applicants

Fully supported

Candidates are individual records tied to one or more job applications. Each record contains contact info, resume file, application date, pipeline stage, and notes. We extract the full candidate profile including all resume file formats (PDF, DOC, TXT) and re-associate them with their destination job records.

Pipelines (Hiring Pipelines)

Fully supported

Recooty organizes candidates into visual pipelines per job. Default stages include Applied, Screening, Interview, Offer, and Hired, but stages are configurable per job or globally. We preserve the stage a candidate occupied at cutover and replicate the same stage configuration at the destination.

Interview Schedules

Mapping required

Interview records hold date, time, interview type, interviewer assignment, and candidate ID. Business and Enterprise plans include calendar sync and self-scheduling links that do not exist on Starter or Growth. We migrate interview records but self-scheduling links and calendar tokens must be re-established at the destination system.

Career Pages (Branded Careers Sites)

Mapping required

Recooty generates branded careers pages using a drag-and-drop builder on Growth and above, and hosted microsites on Business and Enterprise. The builder state and page URL cannot be directly migrated — we replicate the content (job listings, company description, branding assets) in a new careers site at the destination.

Custom Fields

Mapping required

Custom fields can be added to candidate and job records on Business and Enterprise plans. Lower plans do not support custom fields. We detect all custom field definitions in the source account, map them to equivalent custom fields in the destination ATS, and transfer values field-by-field.

Integrations (Slack, Calendar, Job Boards)

Mapping required

Recooty integrates with Slack for notifications, Google/Zoho Calendar for scheduling, and 100+ job boards for publishing. Integration tokens (OAuth connections, API keys) are not portable between platforms. We migrate the integration configuration intent and note which connections require re-authentication at the destination.

Analytics and Reports

Mapping required

Recooty surfaces pipeline metrics, hire velocity, and candidate ratings. Analytics depth varies by plan — Business includes Zoho Analytics integration and scheduled reports while Starter offers basic pipeline metrics. Historical analytics are not re-exportable as structured datasets; we migrate summary snapshots rather than raw event logs.

GDPR / Privacy Data

Mapping required

Recooty stores retention policy configurations, audit trail logs, and candidate consent records tied to GDPR compliance. These settings are account-level and exportable as structured records. We migrate retention and consent data and flag any candidates whose records require re-consent under the destination system's privacy requirements.
