Overview
Manatal and Recruit CRM both serve recruitment agencies with ATS and CRM capabilities, but they differ in access tiers, automation availability, and support models. Manatal gates its API behind Enterprise Plus at $55/user/month and disables bulk exports by default, requiring coordination with Manatal support before any programmatic migration can begin. Recruit CRM offers workflow automation on all plans with a no-code builder and 5,000+ integrations, making it a stronger operational platform for growing agencies. We handle the export gate resolution, pre-process organization records to prevent Manatal's silent name-based deduplication, preserve custom field categories and values, and map pipeline stages across both platforms. We do not migrate workflow automations, sequences, or forms as code; we deliver a written inventory of every Manatal automation rule for Recruit CRM's admin to rebuild using Recruit CRM's visual workflow builder.
Every standard and custom field arrives verified.
AI proposes the map; you confirm before any record moves.
Parent–child, lookups, and ownership stay linked.
Calls, emails, meetings — with original timestamps.
Documents, uploads, and inline notes move with the record.

Object mapping
Each row shows how a Manatal object lands in Recruit CRM & ATS, including any object-level transformations, lookup resolution, or schema-design dependencies.
Typical mapping — final map is confirmed during the sample migration step.
Manatal
Candidate
Recruit CRM & ATS
Candidate
1:1Manatal Candidates map directly to Recruit CRM Candidates. We migrate all profile fields including name, email, phone, location, experience, education, and skills. Custom fields organized under custom categories transfer as custom fields in Recruit CRM with their category hierarchy preserved. Stage history, tags, and activity logs migrate as linked records. Resume files migrate as document attachments with metadata preserved. Manatal's UTC timestamps convert to local timezone as configured during scoping.
Manatal
Job
Recruit CRM & ATS
Job
1:1Manatal Jobs map to Recruit CRM Jobs with pipeline stages preserved as configurable stage definitions. Each job's stage sequence migrates as an ordered list, and current candidate-to-stage assignments transfer with the correct candidate reference resolved. Job-level custom fields migrate under the equivalent custom field structure in Recruit CRM. Note that Manatal's 15-job limit on Professional does not apply to Recruit CRM, so any jobs over that cap migrate without restriction.
Manatal
Organization
Recruit CRM & ATS
Organization (Client)
1:1Manatal Organizations map to Recruit CRM Organizations representing recruitment clients or companies. Manatal's CSV/JSON import uses name-only deduplication, silently skipping records with matching names. We pre-process source data to identify and resolve naming conflicts before generating the Recruit CRM import file, ensuring no client records are lost. Organization-level custom fields and contact associations migrate with their relationships intact.
Manatal
Custom Fields (Candidate-level)
Recruit CRM & ATS
Custom Fields (Candidate)
1:1Manatal custom fields on Candidates are organized under custom categories and require Admin-level access to create or modify. We preserve the full field structure including field name, data type, and values across the candidate database. Legacy custom field structures with non-standard field IDs may require remapping if the field reference has drifted. Recruit CRM supports custom fields on all plans without tier gating.
Manatal
Custom Fields (Job-level)
Recruit CRM & ATS
Custom Fields (Job)
1:1Job custom fields in Manatal are scoped to custom categories defined by the Admin. We transfer the field definition and all populated values to Recruit CRM job custom fields. The migration requires Admin credentials on Manatal to read the custom field schema during discovery. Recruit CRM's custom field builder is available without an additional plan upgrade.
Manatal
Pipeline Stages
Recruit CRM & ATS
Pipeline Stages
lossyPipeline stages are defined per Job in Manatal. We migrate the full stage sequence including custom stage names, ordering, and probability percentages where configured. Each Manatal job-to-stage mapping transfers as a candidate-stage assignment in Recruit CRM. Stage colors and custom labels map to Recruit CRM's stage customization options.
Manatal
Tag
Recruit CRM & ATS
Tag
1:1Tags are flat label objects applied to Candidates and Jobs in Manatal. We migrate all tag assignments preserving tag names across the full dataset. Recruit CRM uses a matching tag model with the same application scope (candidates, jobs, organizations). Tag counts and distribution are reconciled post-import against the Manatal source export.
Manatal
Activity Log
Recruit CRM & ATS
Activity
1:1Manatal activity logs capture user actions on Candidates and Jobs with timestamps and actor attribution. We migrate log entries as Activity records in Recruit CRM linked to the relevant Candidate or Job. High-volume activity logs (over 200,000 records) require chunking due to API pagination limits. UTC timestamps from Manatal are preserved and flagged for timezone review.
Manatal
Attachment / Document
Recruit CRM & ATS
Attachment
1:1Resume files and other attachments referenced in Candidate profiles migrate as document metadata and file references. Binary file transfer depends on Manatal's export capabilities for the account. If the Manatal account has export access (Enterprise Plus or support-enabled), we transfer document file content directly. If not, we migrate document metadata and reference URLs for manual re-upload by the customer.
Manatal
User / Team Member
Recruit CRM & ATS
User
1:1Manatal user accounts with roles and permissions migrate as contact records in Recruit CRM. Manatal's internal user ID and role assignments preserve as custom properties on the Recruit CRM user record for reference. SSO configuration does not transfer; Recruit CRM SSO setup is a separate configuration step post-migration. User Groups map to Recruit CRM team structures.
Manatal
Workflow Automation
Recruit CRM & ATS
Automation (documented for rebuild)
1:1Manatal workflow automations trigger on stage transitions or candidate actions and are available only on Enterprise and Enterprise Plus. We document every automation rule including trigger event, conditions, and actions as a written specification for Recruit CRM's admin to rebuild using Recruit CRM's no-code workflow builder. Automations do not migrate as executable code. We do not attempt to translate Manatal automation logic to Recruit CRM's visual builder format.
Manatal
Placement / Revenue (CRM data)
Recruit CRM & ATS
Placement / Revenue
1:1Manatal's CRM features for agencies tracking client relationships, placements, and commission revenue migrate as custom objects or standard CRM equivalents in Recruit CRM depending on the destination configuration. Placement records link to the migrated Candidate and Organization. Revenue fields and commission tracking migrate with their numeric values preserved.

Gotchas + challenges
Platform-specific issues from each side, plus the pair-specific challenges that don't show up on either platform's page on its own.
Manatal gotchas
API access is Enterprise Plus only
Data export not enabled by default
Organization import deduplication by name only
Workflow automations are tier-gated and use fair usage limits
Export timestamps are UTC only
Recruit CRM & ATS gotchas
API rate limits are license-scaled and can throttle bulk migration
Custom field schemas vary per organization and require field-level mapping
Files and email attachments require separate extraction and re-upload
Email sequences and automation logic do not transfer between platforms
Pair-specific challenges
Migration approach
Export gate resolution and scoping
We contact Manatal support to activate bulk export access for the account, verify the subscription tier to confirm API availability, and enumerate the full object inventory (Candidates, Jobs, Organizations, custom fields, tags, activity logs). If API access is unavailable (not Enterprise Plus), we confirm CSV/XLS export is the migration path. We capture the Manatal admin credentials needed to read custom field schemas during this phase. This step typically takes 3-7 business days to complete before data extraction can begin.
Custom field and schema enumeration
Using Admin credentials, we enumerate every custom field category and field definition on Candidates, Jobs, and Organizations. We document field names, data types, required/optional status, and picklist values. We also capture workflow automation rules (trigger, conditions, actions) for the written rebuild inventory. Pipeline stage definitions, tag lists, and user role structures are documented in parallel. The output is a complete schema map used to configure Recruit CRM's destination schema before any data moves.
Data extraction and deduplication preprocessing
We extract all Candidates, Jobs, and Organizations from Manatal via CSV export or API (if Enterprise Plus). Organization records undergo deduplication preprocessing to resolve name-only matching conflicts before Recruit CRM import. We flag duplicate organizations, near-duplicate names (case variations, whitespace), and ambiguous merges for customer review. Candidates are extracted with full profile data, custom field values, stage history, tags, and activity logs in separate export passes.
Recruit CRM schema configuration and sandbox import
We configure Recruit CRM's destination schema: custom fields, pipeline stages, user roles, and organization structures matching the Manatal source. This is deployed into a Recruit CRM sandbox or trial environment first for validation. We run a test import of a sample dataset (typically 500-1,000 records) and reconcile against the source. Customer's admin reviews field mappings, validates pipeline stage definitions, and signs off the schema before full production migration.
Production migration in dependency order
We run production migration in record-dependency order: Organizations first (master data), then Jobs with stage definitions, then Candidates with all linked fields, tags, and attachments. Activity logs migrate after Candidates so that parent-record references are satisfied. Custom field values transfer last, mapping to the destination field definitions. Each phase emits a row-count reconciliation report showing records imported versus expected from source.
Cutover, validation, and automation rebuild handoff
We freeze Manatal writes during cutover, run a final delta migration of any records modified during the migration window, then enable Recruit CRM as the system of record. We deliver the workflow automation inventory document to the customer's admin team, documenting every Manatal automation trigger, condition, and action with a recommended Recruit CRM equivalent using the no-code builder. We do not rebuild automations as code inside the migration scope. We support a 5-business-day post-cutover window for reconciliation issues raised by the team.
