In its favor

Why people choose iRecruit

The signal that keeps iRecruit on the shortlist. Sourced from G2, Capterra, and customer scoping calls.

iRecruit offers unlimited job postings and unlimited applicants on its Enterprise tier at a fixed price, avoiding per-seat or per-candidate billing that penalises high-volume hiring operations.

The iConnect module provides paperless electronic onboarding, letting new hires complete I-9, tax forms, and document signing before their start date without any physical paperwork.

Free job board distribution to Indeed, SimplyHired, Monster, and Jobs.com is included on Enterprise, reducing the cost of distributing each open requisition.

The built-in Exporter tool lets admins query any field in the system, meaning customers often have existing report definitions that define exactly which data they care about preserving.

WOTC tax credit integration automatically captures qualifying new hires and can generate a credit of $2,400–$9,600 per eligible hire, which is a financial benefit customers actively cite as a reason to stay.

iRecruit's pricing is opaque — the Enterprise tier requires a sales contact and there is no public per-seat or per-job price list, making budget approval difficult without a demo call.

The platform lacks publicly documented API endpoints or developer documentation, which blocks customers who need programmatic integrations or automated workflow triggers beyond the built-in templates.

Small teams report that the interface, while functional, has not kept pace with modern ATS UX — particularly around mobile candidate experience and real-time collaboration on reviews.

Customers with complex multi-department or multi-location hiring say the requisition approval workflow is too linear and lacks parallel routing or conditional approvals.

Integration options are limited to Sage HRMS, MyPayrollHR, and a generic custom export file — customers on other payroll or HRIS platforms must build and maintain their own export pipeline.

Where it works

Small-to-mid-size US businesses with high-volume hiring that need unlimited postings and applicants at a fixed Enterprise price without per-seat or per-candidate billing penalties.Companies actively seeking WOTC tax credits for qualifying new hires, since iRecruit captures eligible candidates automatically with a documented financial benefit of $2,400–$9,600 per hire.Organizations already using Sage HRMS or MyPayrollHR that need native new hire data transfer without building and maintaining a custom export pipeline themselves.Hiring teams that want free job board auto-distribution to Indeed, SimplyHired, Monster, and Jobs.com without managing each posting individually across platforms.Companies wanting new hires to complete I-9 verification, tax withholding forms, and e-signature documents electronically before their start date via iConnect.

Where it struggles

Organizations requiring programmatic integrations or automated workflow triggers—iRecruit has no publicly documented API endpoints, blocking any custom automation beyond export files.Companies running HRIS or payroll systems other than Sage HRMS or MyPayrollHR, since native integration options are limited to those two platforms plus a generic custom export.Multi-department or multi-location businesses with complex approval hierarchies that need parallel routing, conditional approvals, or department-level delegation beyond a linear sequence.Teams where modern mobile candidate experience is a priority—the interface has not kept pace with current ATS design standards, particularly for smartphone users.Buyers requiring transparent self-service pricing and immediate purchase paths—the Enterprise tier requires a sales contact with no public per-seat or per-job price list.

Pricing tiers

iRecruit pricing overview

iRecruit publishes no public pricing for any tier. The Enterprise tier requires contacting sales for a quote. Standard tier feature availability and pricing must be obtained through a demo request or direct sales call, making it difficult to compare against self-serve ATS platforms.

What gets migrated

iRecruit object support

Object-by-object support for iRecruit migrations. Per-pair details surface during scoping.

Jobs / Job Postings

Fully supported

Jobs are the primary object in iRecruit. Each job supports configurable knock-out questions, internal/external visibility flags, and social/job-board auto-posting settings. We migrate job postings with their current status (open, closed, draft) and preserve the job-specific questions as custom fields on the Job object.

Candidates / Applicants

Fully supported

Candidates apply to one or more Jobs and carry a rich profile including resume, application date, source, and stage progression. We map candidate records including all application history across multiple jobs they may have applied to.

Requisitions

Mapping required

Enterprise tier supports Advanced Requisition Request and Approval via secure link and email approval. Requisition approval routing is stored as a workflow state on the requisition record. We preserve approval history and the current approval status, but the email-based approval mechanism itself does not migrate — it is reset to pending for the new owner's review.

iConnect Onboarding Records

Mapping required

iConnect is the paperless onboarding module handling I-9, tax forms, document signing, and benefits enrollment. Onboarding records are tied to the candidate after offer acceptance. We migrate onboarding record status, completed checklist items, and document references, but the active e-signature sessions and in-progress form links must be restarted post-migration.

Communication Templates

Mapping required

iRecruit stores mass personalised email templates tied to specific candidate stages. Template body text and subject lines migrate as-is, but active sending queues and scheduled send-time triggers do not carry over and must be reconfigured in the destination ATS.

EEO / Affirmative Action Reports

Mapping required

Enterprise tier provides EEO and affirmative action reporting with a click of a button. The generated report data is derived from candidate demographic fields and hiring outcomes. We migrate the underlying data fields needed to regenerate these reports in the destination system, but the report outputs themselves must be rebuilt.

WOTC Tax Credit Records

Mapping required

Work Opportunity Tax Credit qualification flags and category assignments are stored per candidate. We preserve the WOTC category, qualification date, and credit amount range fields so the customer's accounting records remain complete. Actual credit capture depends on the destination payroll system supporting WOTC tracking.

Custom Export Files / HRIS Integrations

Mapping required

iRecruit supports standard integration to Sage HRMS and MyPayrollHR via a custom export file format. Customers on other HRIS platforms have built bespoke exports. We migrate the data schema and field mappings from any existing custom export configuration, then generate a mapping specification for the destination HRIS.

Custom Knock-Out Questions

Mapping required

Knock-out questions are defined per job and determine whether an applicant is automatically disqualified. These are stored as field-level configurations on the Job. We capture each knock-out question's field name, operator (equals, contains, etc.), and disqualifying value so the same screening logic can be replicated in the destination ATS pipeline stages.

Users / Team Members

Mapping required

User accounts in iRecruit represent recruiters, hiring managers, and admins. Role assignments (recruiter, hiring manager, admin) and team associations migrate as user-level properties, but session-based permissions tied to iRecruit's internal auth do not carry over and must be reassigned in the destination system.
