Why people choose Gold-Vision

The signal that keeps Gold-Vision on the shortlist. Sourced from G2, Capterra, and customer scoping calls.

Customers choose Gold-Vision for its unlimited contact model with no per-record caps, making it cost-predictable at scale compared to seat-only pricing on some competitors.

The platform bundles CRM, project management, quotes, invoicing, and marketing automation into a single subscription, eliminating the need to buy and integrate separate tools.

Gold-Vision's customer support receives consistently high praise (4.8/5 on Capterra) with reviewers describing a personal, patient support team rather than scripted call-centre responses.

Deep M365, Outlook, and Gmail synchronisation means email and calendar activity automatically populates the contact record without manual re-entry.

Unlimited customisation of screens, tabs, and processes lets businesses adapt the CRM to existing workflows rather than reshaping workflows to fit the software.

The interface is widely described as dated and cluttered, with multiple reviewers using the phrase 'out of the 1990s' — a friction point for teams expecting modern UX.

Gold-Vision has no mobile application, which several reviewers flagged as inconvenient and frustrating for field or remote teams who need CRM access on the go.

Performance degrades noticeably as data volumes grow, leading to slow load times and sluggish interactions on larger accounts.

Teams considering migration often cite that competing platforms now offer native AI features, deeper integrations, and modern API capabilities that Gold-Vision lacks.

Weaknesses

Where it works

UK-based mid-market businesses that prefer GBP pricing and value local support availability over global brand recognition.Organizations already invested in Microsoft 365, Outlook, or Gmail that benefit from Gold-Vision's deep email and calendar synchronisation into contact records.Teams managing high contact volumes without per-record caps, particularly those with large prospect databases where per-seat pricing would become prohibitively expensive.Businesses requiring extensive per-tenant customisation of screens, tabs, and process flows to match established internal workflows rather than adapt to software conventions.Companies preferring a single subscription covering CRM, project management, quotes, invoicing, and marketing automation rather than assembling and integrating separate tools.

Where it struggles

Remote or field-based sales and service teams that require a native mobile application to access CRM data, update records, or manage tasks while away from a desktop.Large enterprises or organisations with thousands of users and substantial data volumes, where performance degrades noticeably in grid views, reports, and during high concurrent usage.Companies where user adoption depends on modern, consumer-grade interface design and visual aesthetics rather than functional depth.Growth-focused businesses evaluating CRM platforms on AI-powered features, intelligent automation, and continuous product innovation roadmaps.Non-UK organisations uncomfortable with GBP pricing, UK-centric support hours, or who require native multi-currency, multi-language, or locally aligned compliance features.

What gets migrated

Gold-Vision object support

Object-by-object support for Gold-Vision migrations. Per-pair details surface during scoping.

Accounts

Fully supported

Accounts are the top-level organisational records in Gold-Vision. They carry a rich set of standard fields (address, industry, owner) plus unlimited custom fields. We map them directly to the destination Account/Company object with full field fidelity.

Contacts

Fully supported

Contacts link to Accounts and carry email, phone, communication history, and custom fields. Gold-Vision supports unlimited contacts across all tiers with no per-record cap. We preserve the Account-Contact linkage and the full correspondence log.

Leads

Mapping required

Leads are a distinct record type in Gold-Vision with their own pipeline and status fields. Where the destination CRM does not have a separate Lead object, we merge Leads into Contacts and carry Lead_Status and Lead_Source as custom contact properties.

Opportunities

Fully supported

Opportunities sit inside a sales Pipeline with configurable Stages. We export the stage sequence, probability weights, close dates, and monetary values. Custom opportunity fields are mapped one-to-one unless the destination requires a value transform.

Pipelines

Mapping required

Gold-Vision allows multiple named pipelines. The stage sequence and naming conventions vary by organisation. We capture the full pipeline structure and remap stages to the destination pipeline template, flagging any probability gaps.

Campaigns

Mapping required

Campaigns in Gold-Vision include multi-stage status tracking and in-built ROI reporting. We export campaign records and member associations. Note that Gold-Vision campaign member tracking is not the same object model as marketing list membership in all CRMs.

Quotes

Mapping required

Quotes carry line items, branding templates, and optional e-sign links. We export the quote header, line items, and status. E-sign metadata is preserved as a URL reference; the actual signed document is treated as an attachment.

Projects

Mapping required

Gold-Vision Projects are standalone records with time entries and task hierarchies. Not all destination CRMs model Projects the same way. We export the project record, its assigned contacts/accounts, and linked time entries as a grouped set.

Tickets

Fully supported

Service desk tickets in Gold-Vision support custom fields, conversation threads, and agent assignment. We export the full ticket record including open/closed status, priority, and conversation history.

Custom Fields

Mapping required

Gold-Vision supports unlimited additional fields on all major objects via its API. We extract the full custom field schema per object and map values to the destination's corresponding custom property, handling type differences (text, picklist, date, number).

Attachments

Mapping required

Documents and file attachments can be stored against Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Projects, and Tickets. We export attachments as binary blobs and re-associate them to the correct record in the destination system. Storage limits vary by Gold-Vision tier.

Tags and Categories

Mapping required

Gold-Vision uses tags and categories as organisational labels across objects. We preserve the full tag/category taxonomy and re-apply labels to the migrated records in the destination CRM.

Activities and Communications

Mapping required

Emails, calls, and appointments synced from M365/Outlook are logged as Communications against the relevant contact or account. We export the full communication log with timestamps, direction, and body content.

Users and Owners

Mapping required

User records in Gold-Vision carry role, team, and contact details. Owner assignment on records references the user ID. We map Gold-Vision user accounts to named users in the destination, flagging any orphaned owner assignments for manual resolution.
