Migrate your Gauss Box Projects data

Projects are the top-level container in Gauss Box Projects, supporting phases, deadlines, budgets, and both Gantt and Kanban view formats. We map them 1:1 and preserve all phase sequencing and budget fields at the project level.

Tasks break projects into manageable units with subtask support, assignees, deadlines, and attachments. We map tasks including their status, priority, and assignee fields and preserve task-to-subtask hierarchy.

Subtasks nest under parent tasks and inherit project context. We preserve the parent-child relationship during migration and ensure subtask status and assignees land correctly in the destination system.

Gauss Box Projects supports project phases for organizing work into sequential stages. We preserve phase sequencing, dates, and which tasks belong to each phase.

Gantt charts in Gauss Box Projects are backed by project start/end dates, phase timelines, and task dependencies. We map these timeline objects to the destination's equivalent Gantt or calendar view structures.

Kanban columns and card positions are exported and mapped to the destination's Kanban or board view. We preserve card ordering within each column.

Gauss Box automatically tracks time and logs activities through tasks, projects, and users. We map time entries including estimates, actuals, and budget comparison fields.

Comments attach to tasks and projects. We migrate comment bodies, timestamps, and author references and preserve threading where the destination supports it.

Files attach to tasks and projects. Storage is tiered (1GB base on START, €0.50/GB additional), so we flag oversized attachment sets during scoping and map files to the destination's document store, preserving file names and association to the correct task or project.

Gauss Box supports Custom Fields via attribute sets and general/system settings. These are user-defined, so we inventory the full custom field schema during discovery and map field names, types, and values to the destination's equivalent custom field definitions.

Gauss Box Projects uses User Roles and Department management to control access levels. We map role names, access level definitions, and user-to-role assignments to the destination's permission model.

Users have unlimited employees in the platform's terminology with department assignments, live status, and organization chart context. We map user records including department, role, and contact details.

Gauss Box supports external collaborators with special roles or limited view-only access. We preserve these access levels during migration and flag any collaborator accounts that may not map directly to standard user objects in the destination.
