Overview
Moving from WINLine to Infor Cloudsuite Industrial is a platform-scale migration that must account for WINLine's file-based database architecture in the Classic edition, which has no standard SQL connectivity and no public REST API. WINLine Compact cloud customers have different extraction paths. Infor CloudSuite Industrial (formerly SyteLine) is a manufacturing-specific cloud ERP that requires source data to originate from a SQL Server database and uses its own migration utility with preconfigured import sequences for external ERP data. We coordinate with Software Mechanics or the customer's IT team to produce clean flat-file exports from WINLine, transform those exports into SQL-compatible staging tables, and load them through Infor's documented migration workflow. BOM version history, open AP/AR aging buckets, and multi-warehouse stock levels are the highest-risk objects and receive explicit mapping and reconciliation steps. We do not migrate workflows, automations, custom reports, or integrations as part of standard scope.
Every standard and custom field arrives verified.
AI proposes the map; you confirm before any record moves.
Parent–child, lookups, and ownership stay linked.
Calls, emails, meetings — with original timestamps.
Documents, uploads, and inline notes move with the record.

WINLine
Chart of Accounts
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Account Groups + G/L Account Codes
lossyWINLine stores G/L account codes with cost center assignments and tax codes in flat-file account masters. We extract the full COA, parse the hierarchical account structure, and map it to Infor CloudSuite's Account Group and G/L Account Code setup. Tax codes require explicit mapping to Infor's tax configuration tables. WINLine's cost center dimension may map to Infor's Cost Element or Site-based cost structure depending on the customer's manufacturing complexity.
WINLine
Customer
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Customer
1:1WINLine Customer records include billing addresses, payment terms, credit limits, and currency. We extract all active customer records and map them to Infor CloudSuite Customer by customer name as the primary key. Billing address and ship-to address migrate to Infor's Customer Address table. Payment terms map to Infor's Terms of Payment codes. Currency assignment is preserved from WINLine and matched against Infor's currency configuration.
WINLine
Vendor
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Supplier
1:1WINLine Vendor master data covers contact details, tax registration, payment terms, and bank account information. We extract vendor records and map them to Infor CloudSuite Supplier by vendor name as the dedupe key, preserving any custom classification codes. Tax registration numbers migrate to Infor's Supplier Tax Registration fields. Payment terms map to Infor's Terms of Payment codes with the same mapping logic used for Customers.
WINLine
Open AP/AR
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Open AP/AR Transactions
1:1Outstanding invoices, credit memos, and payment records are tracked per customer and vendor in WINLine. We extract open items with invoice numbers, amounts, due dates, and aging buckets, and push them as open transactions to Infor CloudSuite's Receivables and Payables modules. Invoice-to-payment linkages are preserved where available. Aged trial balance reconciles against WINLine's reporting output before and after load.
WINLine
Item / Product
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Item
1:1WINLine Items include SKU, description, unit of measure, cost price, and sell price. The inventory valuation method (FIFO or average cost) must be confirmed with the customer before mapping to ensure consistency with Infor CloudSuite's costing configuration. Unit of measure codes map to Infor's UOM definitions. Item Product Group assignments from WINLine map to Infor's Item Group or Commodity Code classification.
WINLine
Bill of Materials
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
BOM and Production BOM
1:1WINLine's manufacturing module stores Bill of Materials with version history and effective dates. We extract BOM structures and map them to Infor CloudSuite's BOM and Production BOM entities. BOMs with pending revisions or future effective dates are flagged for customer review before finalizing the migration load. Component operations and routing steps map to Infor's Job and Schedule BOM structures. The correct active BOM version at cutover date is captured to avoid manufacturing discrepancies in the destination.
WINLine
Production / Work Orders
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Job and Work Order
1:1WINLine production orders and work orders migrate to Infor CloudSuite Job and Work Order records. Open work orders at cutover are prioritized for migration; closed work orders with historical cost data are migrated as completed job history. The work order status field maps to Infor's Job Status codes with special handling for any orders in a partial completion or backflush state.
WINLine
Fixed Assets
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Asset Register
1:1WINLine tracks asset registers with acquisition date, cost, accumulated depreciation, and useful life. We extract the full asset register and push it to Infor CloudSuite's Asset Register as asset records, recalculating remaining useful life against the Infor depreciation method selected by the customer. Asset locations and cost centers map to Infor's Site and Department assignments. Asset impairment and revaluation history migrates as separate asset event records.
WINLine
Sales Orders / Open Orders
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Sales Order
1:1WINLine Quotes, Sales Orders, and invoices in the order entry module are extracted as open orders with line items mapped to Infor CloudSuite's Sales Order entity. Line items are matched against the migrated Item catalog to resolve product references. Order status (pending, confirmed, shipped, invoiced) maps to Infor's Order Status codes. Pricing and discount terms migrate from WINLine order headers and line-level adjustments.
WINLine
Inventory / Stock
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Inventory by Site and Warehouse
1:1Stock levels by warehouse location in WINLine's inventory module are extracted and mapped to Infor CloudSuite's inventory by Site and Warehouse structure. We flag any negative stock quantities, obsolete items with zero quantity, or discrepancy between WINLine's stock ledger and physical count reports. Multi-warehouse configurations map to Infor's multi-site inventory with inter-site transfer logic documented for post-migration setup.
WINLine
Documents / Attachments
Infor CloudSuite Corporate
Infor Document Management (IDM)
1:1WINLine maintains a document archive tied to transactions and master records. We extract linked documents and binary attachments and associate them with the corresponding migrated records in Infor CloudSuite via Infor Document Management. Document revision levels and check-in/check-out history are preserved where available. Any attachments that cannot be matched to a migrated record are delivered in a structured folder archive for manual re-association.

Pair-specific challenges
Migration approach
Discovery and WINLine edition assessment
We audit the source WINLine installation to confirm edition (Classic flat-file versus Compact cloud), active modules in use (accounting, inventory, manufacturing, fixed assets, CRM), approximate record volumes per object, current BOM and production order count, and any known data quality issues. For WINLine Classic, we coordinate with Software Mechanics or the customer's IT team to plan the flat-file export approach and confirm export tool availability. For WINLine Compact, we assess REST API access and endpoint availability. Discovery output is a written migration scope document with estimated extraction timeline.
Source data extraction and staging database setup
For WINLine Classic, we receive flat-file exports produced by the customer's IT team or Software Mechanics and transform them into SQL Server staging tables that Infor CloudSuite's Migration Utility can read. For WINLine Compact, we extract data via available API endpoints or direct database access where permitted. We validate record counts against WINLine's built-in reports before proceeding. The staging database is configured as a SQL Server 2008 or later instance accessible to Infor CloudSuite's migration environment.
Schema mapping and import sequence design
We map WINLine objects to Infor CloudSuite tables following Infor's documented migration sequence for external ERP sources (VISUAL and Fourth Shift examples in Infor documentation provide reference patterns). Prerequisite data (Chart of Accounts, Unit of Measure Codes, Site definitions) is mapped before dependent data (Customers, Vendors, Items). BOM structures are mapped after Items but before Work Orders. Open AP/AR transactions are mapped after Customer and Supplier records are confirmed. Any WINLine data that has no Infor CloudSuite equivalent is flagged as requiring manual entry post-migration.
Sandbox migration and reconciliation
We run a full migration into a test environment using production-like data volume. The customer's operations and finance leads reconcile record counts, spot-check 25-50 records per object against WINLine source reports, and validate that open AP/AR aging matches between WINLine and Infor CloudSuite. BOM version accuracy and inventory quantities receive explicit sign-off. Any mapping corrections and data quality issues are resolved in this phase before production migration begins.
Production migration in dependency order
Production migration runs in record-dependency order: G/L Account structure first, then Site and Company definitions, then Unit of Measure and Currency setup, then Customers and Suppliers, then Items and BOM structures, then Fixed Assets, then Open Orders and Sales Documents, then Open AP/AR, then Work Orders and Production data, then Inventory by Site, then Document attachments via Infor IDM. Each phase emits a reconciliation report (record count, exception count, aged trial balance match) before the next phase begins. For WINLine Classic, any post-export delta records are captured and loaded in a final incremental pass.
Cutover, validation, and handoff
WINLine write access is frozen at cutover. A final delta migration captures any records modified during the migration window. Infor CloudSuite becomes the system of record once reconciliation is confirmed. We deliver the workflow and automation inventory document to the customer's Infor implementation partner. We support a one-week hypercare window for reconciliation issues raised by the customer's operations and finance teams. We do not configure Infor CloudSuite workflows, intercompany transactions, or Birst reports as part of standard migration scope; these are separate engagements with the customer's Infor partner.
