Overview
Moving from Mekari Qontak to Monday.com CRM is a platform architecture change, not a simple record copy. Qontak is built around a WhatsApp-first omnichannel model with Contacts, Deals, and Tickets in a channel-attribution layer tied to the WABA number; Monday.com CRM uses a board-and-item data model where People (contacts) and Companies live as items inside boards with customizable columns. We resolve the WhatsApp Business API offboarding process early in the migration window because losing access to the Qontak-hosted WABA also severs the conversation history API endpoint. We extract conversation attachments from Qontak's media CDN and re-upload to Monday.com file storage, preserving the link structure as a custom column URL. Chatbot flow definitions, Qontak Workflow Automations, and WhatsApp Templates do not migrate as code; we deliver written inventories of each for the customer's admin to rebuild in Monday.com's automation builder or to re-register with Meta directly. Broadcast campaign history stored in Qontak's channel layer is not accessible via the CRM API and does not migrate.
Every standard and custom field arrives verified.
AI proposes the map; you confirm before any record moves.
Parent–child, lookups, and ownership stay linked.
Calls, emails, meetings — with original timestamps.
Documents, uploads, and inline notes move with the record.

Object mapping
Each row shows how a Mekari Qontak object lands in monday CRM, including any object-level transformations, lookup resolution, or schema-design dependencies.
Typical mapping — final map is confirmed during the sample migration step.
Mekari Qontak
Contact
monday CRM
People Board item
1:1Qontak Contact records map to People items in Monday.com CRM's dedicated People Board. Standard fields (full name, phone number, email, address) map to the corresponding People column types. Qontak custom Contact properties map to additional columns in the People Board, with Qontak picklist values converted to Monday.com Status or Dropdown columns. Channel attribution (WhatsApp number, Instagram handle) migrates as text fields since Monday.com does not have a native channel attribution model. We resolve the People Board item by email match before import to prevent duplicate contacts.
Mekari Qontak
Company
monday CRM
Companies Board item
1:1Qontak Company records map to Monday.com CRM's Companies Board. Company name, domain, industry, employee count, and address fields map to equivalent columns in the Companies Board. The Company-Contact relationship is preserved by linking the People item to the Companies item via Monday.com's built-in People-Company link. If the customer uses Qontak's standalone Company records without individual Contact records, we create a Companies Board with one item per Company and add relevant custom properties as columns.
Mekari Qontak
Deal
monday CRM
Deals Board item
1:1Qontak Deals map to Monday.com CRM's native Deals Board. Deal name, value, currency, expected close date, and stage migrate to the corresponding Deals Board columns. Qontak pipeline stage names map to Monday.com Deal Stage values, and we configure the stage sequence in the Deals Board before migration. Owner assignment from Qontak resolves to the Monday.com team member by email match. Custom Deal properties (beyond the standard set) migrate as additional columns on the Deals Board item.
Mekari Qontak
Deal Stage
monday CRM
Deal Stage configuration
lossyEach Qontak pipeline and its associated stage values require mapping to Monday.com Deals Board stage configuration. Qontak stores stage names as enumerated lists that vary by plan tier. We document the current stage order and probability percentages from Qontak and configure equivalent stage labels and ordering in Monday.com Deals before the first Deal import. Any closed-won and closed-lost reasons stored as custom properties in Qontak become dropdown columns in Monday.com Deals.
Mekari Qontak
Ticket
monday CRM
Service Board item
1:1Qontak Tickets migrate to board items in a Monday.com Service board we create during migration. Ticket subject becomes the item name, status values map to Status column options in the Service board, and agent assignments map to Assignee columns. Custom Ticket fields (priority, category, source channel) migrate as additional columns. The Ticket-Contact link is preserved by linking the Service board item to the corresponding People item in the CRM. If the customer uses Qontak's Ticket pipeline with multiple stages, we create a parallel stage structure in Monday.com's Status column.
Mekari Qontak
User/Agent
monday CRM
Team Member
1:1Qontak agent records (Supervisor and Agent roles) map to Monday.com team members by email. We extract role assignments from Qontak and preserve them as a Role column on the People Board item for the agent's own contact record, since Monday.com does not have a native agent-role concept. Channel allocation rules from Qontak do not migrate as configuration; we document them for the customer's admin to reconfigure in Monday.com's team settings.
Mekari Qontak
Contact List/Segment
monday CRM
Board Group or Tag
lossyQontak Contact Lists and Segments store membership and segmentation criteria as separate objects. We export list definitions (name, criteria logic, member count) as a written inventory. In Monday.com, dynamic segmentation is handled via Group filtering on the People Board; we document which Qontak list criteria maps to which group filter and recommend a static or dynamic group structure. List membership is recalculated at migration time against current contact data rather than preserved as historical point-in-time membership.
Mekari Qontak
Chatbot Flow
monday CRM
Documentation only
1:1Chatbot flow definitions use Qontak's internal JSON schema and cannot be imported into Monday.com or any other platform. We extract the full decision tree structure (trigger conditions, response branches, integration actions) and deliver it as a documented flow map with rebuild recommendations. The customer uses the flow map to recreate logic in Monday.com's Workflow Automations or a third-party chatbot platform. This is a documentation deliverable, not an automated import.
Mekari Qontak
WhatsApp Template
monday CRM
Meta Business Manager re-registration
1:1Approved WhatsApp message templates are tied to the Qontak-hosted WhatsApp Business API account (WABA) number. The templates cannot be transferred to Monday.com automatically. We document every active Qontak template (name, category, body content, variable placeholders) and provide a re-registration guide for submitting them to Meta Business Manager directly. If the customer is also doing a WABA number port or new registration, we coordinate the timing with the offboarding request so template content is preserved before the Qontak WABA access is released.
Mekari Qontak
Attachment
monday CRM
File upload
1:1File attachments stored in Qontak's media CDN are downloaded during migration and re-uploaded to Monday.com file storage attached to the relevant board item (People, Company, Deal, or Ticket). We preserve the original filename and attach date, and map the file to the appropriate Monday.com item via the API. Long-term media hosting in Monday.com is subject to the account's file storage limits; we flag any attachment volumes that approach the storage ceiling during scoping.
Mekari Qontak
Custom Property
monday CRM
Custom Column
1:1Qontak custom Contact and Deal properties are fully accessible via the Mekari API. We extract the full custom property schema (field name, data type, picklist values for enumerated types) and create equivalent custom columns in the corresponding Monday.com boards before import. Qontak multi-checkbox properties map to Monday.com Tags or Dropdown columns depending on whether multi-select is needed. Date, numeric, and text custom properties map directly to Monday.com column types.

Pair-specific challenges
Migration approach
Discovery and WhatsApp WABA status check
We audit the source Qontak account for record counts across Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, chatbot flows, and active workflow automations. We verify the WABA registration date to determine whether the account predates the August 2025 Marketing Messages API cutoff, which affects conversation history export format. We identify any custom Contact and Deal properties via the Mekari API and review the Qontak plan tier to understand which objects and features are available. The discovery output is a written migration scope, a WABA offboarding timeline recommendation, and a list of objects that will be documented but not imported (chatbot flows, WhatsApp templates, broadcast campaign history).
Destination schema design and Monday.com board setup
We design the Monday.com board architecture to mirror the Qontak CRM structure. This includes provisioning the People Board, Companies Board, Deals Board, and a Service Board for tickets, with all custom columns created to match the Qontak custom property schema. We configure Deal stages, Status column options, and any Dropdown or Tags columns needed for Qontak picklist values. Team member accounts are provisioned by the customer before migration; we verify that all agent emails from Qontak have corresponding Monday.com accounts before proceeding.
Pre-offboarding data extraction
We extract all migratable records from Qontak via the Mekari API before the WhatsApp WABA offboarding request is submitted. This includes all Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, custom property values, and agent records. We download attachments from Qontak's media CDN in parallel, mapping each file to its parent record. We export conversation history for any contacts where the full WhatsApp message thread is needed in the migration scope. All exports are staged in a temporary environment with checksums for integrity verification before transformation begins.
Transformation, deduplication, and Monday.com import
We transform Qontak records into Monday.com item format, applying field-type conversions (Qontak date formats to ISO 8601, picklist values to Monday.com Dropdown options, multi-checkbox properties to Tags). We deduplicate Contacts by email before import to prevent duplicate People items. We resolve Qontak owner assignments by email match against the Monday.com team member list, flagging any owners without a matching account for the customer to provision. We import records in dependency order: People (Contacts) first, then Companies (with People-Company links established), then Deals (with Person and Company links resolved), then Service board items (Tickets). Attachments are uploaded via the Monday.com API and linked to the corresponding items.
Chatbot flow, automation, and template documentation
We extract the full decision tree from every Qontak chatbot flow and deliver a written chatbot flow map with rebuild recommendations. We document every Qontak Workflow Automation (trigger type, conditions, actions, and schedule) in a separate automation inventory. We catalog every active WhatsApp message template with body content, variable placeholders, and category for re-registration guidance. These three deliverables are provided as structured documents at cutover and are not imported into Monday.com; the customer's admin uses them to rebuild in Monday.com's Workflow Automations or to re-register templates with Meta Business Manager.
Cutover, validation, and offboarding coordination
We coordinate the WABA offboarding submission to Qontak support after the final data extraction is confirmed complete and the migration record count reconciliation is signed off by the customer. We run a post-migration validation comparing Qontak source record counts to Monday.com destination item counts across all boards. We deliver the complete migration inventory document covering object counts, field mapping decisions, and the chatbot, automation, and template documentation packages. We offer a one-week post-cutover window to resolve any record linkage or formatting issues raised during initial team usage.
